Edited by: crash003 on 03/02/2009 19:59:01 Edited by: crash003 on 03/02/2009 19:58:29 hypothetical situation :
a fleet consisting of 2 players (Man-A, Corp-1 and Man-B, Corp-2) have no affiliation to each other other than being in a fleet together, and both having no prior agression towards them from anyone.
Man-A, Corp-1 flips an ore-can belonging to Man-C, Corp-3.
Man-C, Corp-3 engages Man-A, Corp-1
my question: once Man-C engages Man-A, does it allow Man-B to Engage Man-C due to being in a fleet with him without being agressed in anyway prior?
dodgy post i know.. but its the only way i can think of clearly illustrating the situation Internet Spaceships - Serious Buisness! |

NO
If you flip a can you're ONLY flagged to the corp the owner of that can is in, and ONLY if it's a proper player corp, no NPC. Anything else (fleet, alliance whatever) does NOT count. |

So if it's that bad....why did you "re-bump" it 5 hours later?
If it's really that bad of a thread...ignore it. And let it fall off the front page.

Not only is the answer to the original post "no", but in addition even if Man A and Man B are in the same corp, Man B will not be able to engage.
If you steal from someone's can and they engage you, you are the only one with aggro to that individual.
If you flip someone's can and they steal BACK, then people in your corp will all have aggro.
So, have your buddy fit a remote repper and you're gtg

Also, if you flip someone and they have the whole corp there, but you warp off when only 1 actually engaged you, you can come back later and kill that one in front of everybody.

Correct, make use of the 2 timers that are running, the corp one and the personal one... just be in your 'holding pattern' some 200km above the belt and warp in JUST as your corp timer runs out and attack the singled out target. You can expect at least 30% of them to attack you anyway and thus get concorded.
