There was a science fiction TV series that I watched back in the 80's. I can not remember the name of it and hoped someone here may have it in their memories.
The basic gist of the series as I remeber it is, a family went to Egypt for a vacation. While visiting one of the pyrimids the family got sucked into some type of time space distortion cycle. They continued jumping from alternate reality to alternate reality. In each episode they interacted with the people of that reality for the duration of the show then got warped to another alternate reality. It was something like SLIDERS but it involved a whole family.
If you all help great! If not then I will continue to ponder.

I think pyramid was one of the words that worked as I tried the same search as you and failed initially. |

Yeah, my search popped up this wiki link which listed Otherworld in the last paragraph of the Television section. That was the only successful find with that search upon second evaluation of the links. Typically my google fu is greater. I blame it on the rough last week.

I seem to recall that the supermarkets there were stocked with tins marked "meat".

Great show, shame we will never see it on dvd due to the rights issues involved.
Had this one all on vhs yonks ago, only a couple of eps now though on silvers iv'e grabed from usenet over the years.
Scfi channel last had the rights (last aired around 2000/1 ish), hammer them with mails, usenet requests get no answers sadly.
Not many have it capped, though i understand people do sell it on bent dvd's:/ |
