I just had 3 missions in a row where i get to the waypoint and theres nothting there! Nothing. I warp away and come back. I leave system and come back I log and come back - nothing there. I check range scanner and sure enuff theres my target but its out of range and i cant lock onto it. (range says --)
I try to use the direction scanner to find them but end upo flying for hours without finding them. What is that about?
I have been playing since feb and always avoided missions cause i thought they were pretty boring (actually to date i havent been proved wrong). In actual fact it turns out that they simply dont work. Stoopid game :(

I've been running mission regularly for over a year and they tend to be the least bugged aspect of the game and unfortunately after running missions for a YEAR, I find the current mission status the funnest it's ever been.
yes there are bugs(bummer and a drag) but unlike any EA game......they actually work on it and fix it.
a bit of patients for the DEVS on making sure it works. They best part about eve..............they will fix it, just a question of when.
if you try a bug report as opposed to a whine thread, you might get more re****s.

I recently (yesterday) started doing missions again. Its all messed up today again, did some missions ok but now rats dont show up plus other weirdness.
Too dissapointed to explain further

always use the bookmarks in people and places the other (right click bm s) change order depending on range

Yes indeed. As post above suggests, try not to use RMB if that's how you get to your destenation. CCP definetly needs to re-work that one

Happened to me four times in one day. Each time the destination system was Vitteyn so I assumed the system was bugged. I petitioned and got a swift response back that I should try repackaging my ship and any insurance would be refunded.
I decided I couldn't be bothered to do that just yet and anyway the bug went away - subsequent kill missions to Vittenyn worked just fine.
(Incidentally I was able to see my opponents using the "Range" tab in the scanner and get right to within 10km of them, but right-clicking to lock onto them didn't work).

I got a mision where I was suposed to liberate some container from aI pirates. the pirates showed but the container didn't. but there were some miners in the nieghbourhood who raced away when I showed up.
I suspect that it where other players who ran away with my mission bounty.

not good to speak in the broader term.....
i have been an agent runner for as long as anyone here and i can tell you for a long long time it has been boring as hell.
things are on the up for sure.
but how anyone can try and defend agents work as not being boring is somewhat misguilded.

Well you know what they say... "Variety is the spice of life."
I'd go crazy if I only did one thing in this game, so I do some of everything the game has to offer. Makes it darn hard to get bored that way.

I mainly did NPC hunting as a career. Always stayed away from missions. The system now allowing to focus on specific kinds of missions allows me to hunt for NPCs, quickly and with extra rewards. I can't say i'm unhappy about that.
Now when a courier mission creeps up...

And I have NEVER experienced any of the issues detailed in this original post.
I find my Bookmarks in 2 places: People and places.......and in the drop down, top left corner under the system once I get to the actual system my targets are supposed to be in. And they're ALWAYS there.
I've had nothing but fun working missions, hunting rats (some really big ones as of late) and finding some kool loot (2 implants last week).
I'm thinking there's just a tiny little problem with the way you're approaching your BM's. I hope you figure it out.
