This thread is for CCP and all players like me that trained months and months in astrometrics skills thinking that we will be great rewarded. i had my rewards i give u that. But lately i started to have more and more in my head the question WHAT IF...? Let me tell you what i`m talking about. lets say u go in a sys launch a multispectral and u get this result. Radar and unknown. u launch radar quest`s and hope. the result comes with both of them. u go on comb`s or sift`s and u find both of them. let`s say they are a hacking rank 2 and a blood base. many times i walk away from stuff like this, but from time to time on your quest u get 3-4 resuls even if on multispectral u found only 2. so if u go in a sys and u have an unknown on your multispec and u find it with your sift and it`s a drone plex, u walk away or start doing that. but in that sys it can be a 6/10 hiding from u. lets say u find the 6/10, in that sys can be a 10/10 hiding from u.So my point is that the result of a multispec should be like this. Radar Radar Gravimetric Unknown Unknown
Now i know that if i find a drone plex i should continue searching because there is something else there. Or even better, on your system scanner u have 4 rows:
Type/Signal Strenght/Distance/Accuracy
CCp should put 5 rows. lets say u have an unknown in a sys, u throw quest`s and u find it, in the 5 row there should be a chance of finding something else in that sys! That chance should be increased by a skill of course. let`s say the skill name is Secondary Deadspace Chance. and the rows should be like this:
Example : Type/Signal strenght/Distance/Accuracy/Another DED in thw sys Chance !!!
This way i will know that there is 12%(example) chance that there is another DED in this sys beside the one that i just found. People who do this know how hard it is to find a 10/10, i don`t even want to think what is the chance for a player who has the skills at lvl 2-3 and flyes an imicus to find that :))). Thank you for reading this Thread, u should write your opinion as well. Sry for my english, hope i spelled right. o/ |

No need for comments like this, why cant you just answer the question without being belittling ?

How about no? Scanning is going to be changed in apocrypha anyway |

For the multispec to differentiate and list each site a system contains would require a much more sophisticated probe than now available. How 'bout a Multispectral Frequency Probe II?
With skill requirements comparable to other tech II modules, it certainly is an option.
EXCEPT - all will change March 10, so all of this may be a moot point..... |

I think exploration works fine, and I don't see any reason to change it.
PS: He said that English isn't his first language, cut him some slack

I agree, information about number of plexes of each type should be possible to be retrieved by the probes. Hope a change in this direction comes with next patch. Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Rauth Kivaro ([email protected])

that's not the issue.
the issue is that all probes display an unknown signature and you have no clue to know if that is the radar site you are looking for or the useless unknown you don't want. --- SIG --- CSM: your support is needed ! |

This isn't an issue, it is a feature. Four probe types, five signature types: CCP picked Unknown to be found equally well with any of the probe types, so your Radar probe just MIGHT bring you to the acceleration gate of that Unknown site in the system. Waaah! CCP could have picked Gas Clouds to be found with with any probe and then you would be complaining that your Ladar sites are coming up with Gas Clounds instead of combat locations. They chose combat sites so with the lowest astrometric skill levels people could use probes to track down some pew pew.
Yanno, that Radar probe might actually drop you into the Hidden Asteroid Belt of the Gravimetric site in the system too ... small chance, but it has happened to me before. Its called 'exploration' because there is some unknown involved here. Yeesh.
