No you can't, you have got to use the correct array for the ship it builds. Lets face it if the x-large could build all ships there's no need for the other arrays --

Can anyone answer this for me please?
It says in various guides that moon mining can only take place in areas below 0.4 security....., However i found a system thats classed as 0.4 ( on the IG map ) but when i look at eve maps and other places it says the security of the system has a true security of 0.35. Id hazard a guess ( due to the lack of pos' in he area ) that this is a no go for moon mining? So what gives is this system a 0.4 or a 0.35? can it be moon mined? If not any ideas how this works?

Ignore true security as far as POS things go.
If it shows 0.4 in the upper left corner you cannot moon mine, if it's 0.3 you can.

You'll lose access, you cannot transfer a POS from one corp to another corp without taking it all down and putting it back up in the new corp. Only way to retain possession is to join an alliance with the existing corp. --

Sorry for the bad english

Can't seem to find an answer here, maybe I'm not looking hard enough. If my corp is not at war and someone attacks the POS in 0.5 will concord help ?
Thanks

Yes Concord will kill them if a war declaration is not in place. --

Please consider porting this over to the EVElopedia.
We are due a sticky thread review and it is our policy to keep stickies fresh.

The problem with porting over the whole topic is that most of it is already there in some form. What makes it harder is POS topics are split all over the place in evelopedia.
Unsticky it by all means. --

There's 2 answers to your question:
Manufacturing - All materials must be in the assembly array itself. Research - All materials needed for the research job (if any) must be in the POS lab itself.
You cannot put any materials in a corp hangar array or another other storage facility for a manufacturing or research job other than the array that's performing the job.
The exception to the above is the blueprint. If you have a corporate office (personal one will not work) in a station in the same solarsystem as your POS, then the blueprints can stay in the station keeping them safe.

If you want to anchor a POS in a .3 system do you have to have 3.0 in standings with the sovereign organization? Thanks in advance.

Nope, only 0.4 and above require corp to faction standings. --

Nope, only 1 harvester per mineral (regardless of what the abundance is). --

Couple questions that I can't seem to find answers too, and I have never set up a pos before to know these things.
1. After you have anchored and onlined the control tower, can 1 character anchor / online multiple modules at once? If more than 1 at a time, is there a limit other than what the control tower could handle cpu/pg wise?
2. When anchoring / onlining modules, are you restricted in moving? Do you have to stay fairly motionless or could you start anchoring something and then warp to another location in the same system?
3. Could other corpmates also anchor / online modules at the same tower at the same time?
Thanks!!

1) You can only anchor and online 1 structure at any one time and that has to finish anchoring/onlining before you can anchor or online another structure. You can't even have 1 structure anchoring and 1 structure onlining at the same time either.
2) Once the anchoring or onlining is put in motion you can do whatever you like (even log off) and it will complete.
3) No, rule 1 still applies --

So I think I know the answer here but as I have never set up a POS I figured that I'd better ask before I spend a bunch of money finding out I'm wrong. I am considering setting up a POS in hi-sec and contracting someone with the appropriate rating to start the new corp so I don't have to run a bunch of missions...
So here's the question: once the 'hired gun' leaves my corp and I lose the advantage of their status, I won't be able to anchor anything else, right? My corpmate has claimed that once a tower has been anchored, I can add any additional modules regardless of my corps standing.
Thoughts? |

This is correct, standings are only required to anchor the control tower, once it's anchored you can do whatever you like with that POS (cept unanchor the tower as you wont have any standings to re-anchor it). |

One thing that needs to be updated is that the refining arrays provide perfect refining for ice, and there are actually 3 arrays, whereas just the 2 are listed (normal and intensive)

Edited by: Labartu Sumeri on 30/07/2009 06:46:58 For those in authority who post here or post updates to the Wiki, please include lists of known bugs with the POS system in this game. I personally came up against three tonite that have me disconcerted, not to mention the complete lack of documentation on this feature in the game. I think some willing to take part would come to a dead stop if then know the bugs in this feature.
Also, if there's a CURRENT thread on know bugs, please post here for the community to review should they be considering setting up their own POS.
Thanks.

Do you have to be in a player corp to anchor a POS in high sec? In other words if I quit my corp and went into an NPC corp would I be able to anchor in high sec if I had the standings with the faction?

Green box is the location of the module/structure. Click the arrows and drag to move the location in the given directions. Once it it exactly where you want it, Right click the box and select "Anchor Structure". Then wait for it to anchor, then r click it to on-line it. You can also online structures from the CT management screen.
Certain structures are required to be a specific distance from another structure also. You will be notified if you are attempting to anchor in such a place.

I have a noob question. If I start my new corp with my alt who has 6 faction standing, is there a waiting period before I can drop the highsec Pos in .5 ...or can I drop it the moment the corp is created?

The standings take about 7 downtimes to filter through. So, you will have to wait a week.
Braaage, this is a great guide, and your website is a godsend.
I have a question that I probably know the answer to, but I am going to ask anyway. With a structure like the Ammo Assembly Array, do the minerals/extras have to be in the array (like the datacores need to be in the labs)? What happens if a job is complete and there is not enough room left in the array to deliver the completed stuff? (No CHA) --- Usagi Tsukino // Miyazaki Zaibatsu
