I noticed that there's almost always a blockade here, made by several corps.
So my question is: Are thoses corps only pirate corps camping a system that can be considered a bottleneck, or is this system claimed by an alliance?

Norad and other alliances and some large corps do good work in PF keeping it clean, fresh and smelling of cut grass on a mild summers day.
Which is nice. Recruitment

Never been ganked by NORAD in there, but I tend to be very careful.
Except for that one time, some Pirates got me. Had my scanner on range and insta jumped to the Orvolle gate. Freaked cause none of the red boxes were not showing on scanner! Am I stuck? By the time I bashed the scanner a couple of times I was in a pod... Doooh!
And that was an alcohol free night!

Its easier now that combat has been nerfed to hell. Before TomB waved his magic nerf wand, from uncloaking to warping out was a serious gamble. Now you can lay out the picnic table, and have lashings of gingerbeer before you get toasted. With a little preparation and some common sense, even noobcorp members can get out alive.

I usually tend to be camping PF on a fairly regular basis, on behalf of NORAD. MF and I spar a couple times a day usually, sometimes it's quiet sometimes its not. NORAD doesn't call it part of our territory, but it is our primary route to empire, so we do go through the motions to protect it when we can. Generally, pirates are KOS, and neutrals are free to do whatever. If you're in a newbie corp and you happen to be less than a month old, you're KOS as well because in all likelyhood, you are an alt spy making BMs or some such. Most other alliances will do the same. I always try to warn neutrals when pirates enter the sector, be it MF or moo, or some other faction. If you're going by the logic that all alliances are pirates, then so be it, we are. If you're more in tune with what the word pirate entails, then we're not, and neither are MF. Depends on how you view the universe. (MF seems to be just a pvp corp, as they don't extort or ransom, they just shoot. Thusly I don't consider them true pirates, just plain ole regular hostiles.)
And finally, the main difference between us and pirates, is that we need a reason to shoot you, pirates need a reason NOT to shoot you. |

PF-346 is a choke point to 0.0 space and 1 of 2 ways to get to Fountain. Normally NORAD Alliance is there guarding the gates. I always see Roving Guns there and it makes me feel better .
Other times I see MoO and parts of CA there camping that gate. TunDragons work out of Syndicate and can be seen floating around in that area too. And then you have your normal pirates out there preying on the lone adventurer.
All said and done, if you want to travel there just make sure you update your clone and insurance on your ship . ______________________

if there's a blockade, expect to be shot at, no matter wich faction camps the gate. they all shoot at u. as simple as that.

To my understanding the Syndicate Region (that's where PF is) is not claimed by an alliance,
But..
Syndicate is wedged in right between NORAD claimed space and Gallente Empire space, and PF is where people travel to get from Empire to NORAD space.
NORAD - - PF - - Empire
Naturally NORAD has interrest to keep enemies away from this space highway.
Neutral **) corps are not shot by NORAD while outside NORAD space.
Some corps hostile to NORAD try to have fun with NORAD supply ships and reinforcements in that region. Even to the point of placing mobile warp bubbles. Those blockades usually shoot NORAD ships on sight.
Naturaly NORAD has an interrest to place guards along this space highway, to ensure secure travelling for their ships. This kind of blockade should not shoot neutrals **) on sight.
-
**) Neutral in theory does include people in their rookie ship in rookie corp flying about and setting bookmarks. But that is theory...

The best ore I've seen in the Synidate region is Hemorphite. That's why it's not claimed. There's nothing out there except NPC.
