I've played alot of games in my day but never one so sparse on documentation as this one.
What is the difference between a rail gun and normal cannon? How do you sell on the market? What skills do I need to launch rockets? What's the skill tree look like?
Basic stuff, but almost impossible to find info on.
Way too much trial and error.
Having said all that, I love the game:)

couldn't agree more, this would be a great idea, would help my game play out a lot, save time by being able to check the item stats instead of having to goto a dock and looking for the item on the market

Yea would be nice but by the time you get it written CCP would change all the rules anyway.

The EVE Oracle attempts to cover a lot of these questions, but still has some large gaps in its information (there is very little on ships at the moment, for instance). We're working away to get more information in there, but note that a fair bit of what you are after is easy enough to get by looking at the information on an item.

Indeed a better guide is needed, A GUIDE in fact is needed :p
For ship info your best bet is http://www.eve-i.com/evedude.php , it's a windows program that can update the info and the author always puts lots of work into updating ship stats if they change in a patch.
But how to use things and stats on things are different things, thinking of writing a basics guide in a spare minute or 100.
