Basically i have used an afk tanked domi in the past but am now looking for a more active approach to isk making. Can anyone suggest a good fit for running most missions. I'm using a basic setup of acs and mwd at moment, but wonder if theres a more efficient method.

Here is an example of a gank fit 1400 arty mael. Does great dps, and you won't loose all your dps while fighting well into falloff. Use the AB to reduce transversal IE make them chase you, or fit a tracking computer instead of the AB. This fit does require AWUV however you could probably play around with it and make it fit w/ AWUIV. You can always slap on a set of 800s when it is time to fight angels/mercs. Faction items can be substituted for t2 if you don't have the isk handy. It is good for missions with far spawns or ones where you can choose the warp-in distance. In some of those, I barely need to pulse the shield booster. AB and 800mm is still the way to go for other missions that involve up-close rats.

(I currently have 2 Domi's. One dual rep/250's for tank intensive missions and a single rep style sentry fit Domi). Most missions the 800 AC fit does pretty well. With 2 tracking enhancers in the lows and a targetting computer in the mids you can actually do some decent dps under about 50 km. Anything with most of the rats over 50 km I switch to 1400's. When using 1400's I also use Republic Fleet ammo since the firing speed is SO very slow. The only mission I don't like running in the Mael is Stop the Thief. Mostly because the incoming dps on that mission is nuts and I'm not quite confident enough in my skills that I'm ready to risk my new ship. For the most part loving it though. It seems to run most missions much faster than the Dominix. If only there were a Republic Fleet version!
