soldieroffortune 258 Gallente Horsemen of Apocalypse	Posted - 2009.02.07 16:07:00 - [1] Edited by: soldieroffortune 258 on 07/02/2009 16:08:12 hello all, ive just recently gotten a deimos, and i has an ok setup atm for it x5 H.I.B II's ; 1 Small Energy Neutralizer x1 MWD ; Point ; Web x1 Reactive Membrane, x1 EANM, 2 MFS's, 1 DCUII problem is, im not sure what i should fit in the last low slot, i WANTED to put a Medium Armor Rep II in it, but tbh i was messin w/ my corp mate in his Myrmidon, and he well . . . . kinda ate me alive, i was at half armor fairly quickly WITH the armor rep running so im not sure if the Rep is even worth it, so, what would you recomned putting in the last low slot another MFS, 2nd EANM, ect. ? Personally i was thinking about slapping a plate on it give it a nice buffer as the deimos can dump a crap load of damage out so it can kinda have a damage tank TIA EDIT: this IS my first deimos as well, so cut me some slack, ive already tried it in pvp and it performed admirably, and i did do that WITH the armor rep in the slot, then again, i wasnt shot at in the fight, so i have yet to test it out (deimos w/ armor rep) in true pvp Originally by: soldieroffortune 258 "*Eve is about making yourself richer while making the other guy poorer*"

Vanthropy Minmatar	Posted - 2009.02.08 09:03:00 - [8] couple different good fits for small gangs one is full rack of ions, med nos mwd, scram, web (or as one poster said eccm) dc, magstab x3, ex hardener, medium rep (speed rigs) another is 2x ions, 3 neutrons, empty highslot mwd, scram, web 800mm, dc, magstab x3, ex hardener null ammo is great with both of these, stay away from being called primary by not being in front of the battlecruisers "SPEED + GANK = SPANK... Spank that ***** up"

Deimos has extreme dps for its good mobility, you can exploit that very well in smallish hit and run style gangs.

I don't see any reason to pick it over say a zealot that can actualy also fight outside energy neutralizer range. If it didn't have the dronebay it would be worse even than the muninn! I wish it was better, but meh

It is not about agility really, what I mean is mobility in true sense of the word. For example a small cruiser gang that wants to hit hard but avoid losing a few BCs at every 2nd gate they jump. With the deimos you can decide to simply avoid the fight and run, where a brutix would get tackled and die. Ofc you trade in durability for mobility here, but that kinda is the point. Now most people will be all like "but then XYZ happens and my Deimos is worthless/pops", but the same thing is true for every ship, i.e. use a vaga and it is "I'll get webbed/neuted and are worthless/pop", use a zealot and its "they have good em resist and I'm worthless/pop" etc.

But honestly, sell it. Why? Because one day you will fly a zealot/harbinger/hurricane/brutix/etc... and you will feel disgusted that you wasted your time flying the deimos. Only on paper is the deimos a worthwhile ship.
