Yesterday I noticed one module on my ship (shield booster II) would keep turning itself offline every time I would switch to my salvage ship. One of the tractors on my salvage ship was doing the same thing. It wasn't too bad, I would just have to turn them back on before undocking. Now NONE of my modules are working. If I put on a new module on any ship it automatically shows as being offline. When I try to turn them on I get "..... is already online" but when I undock and try to activate it I get "..... is offline..." What am I supposed to do? How can I fix this? This is happening with every ship I have so I can't do anything until it's fixed. |

I too am encountering the exact same problem, modules being fitted and remaining offline but contradictory messages telling me otherwise - re-starting the brouser in station appeared to remedy this but now doesn't appear to help either. I have cleared both the cashe and re-installed the browser...any ideas of the next step?

I, too, have had occasional problems with this. It appears to be related to module placement on your HUD (Moving ewar to top row, for example). The thing that ALWAYS fixes it is to undock, online the module, and then redock. I had this issue on Friday 2-06-09. It cost me an Ishtar. My modules would not go on or be brought online. I lost the isthar mission running. I jump cloned to 0.0 to go fetch my other Ishtar only to find things getting really strange. Of my three ships all had some modules off line and when you turned them on they stayed red but said they where good, they did not work. I ventured out in a covert ops ship only because the cloak worked on this ship. When I went out the cloak worked but it would not shut off. Even when bonking into stuff - asteroids and stations. When you clicked the cloak it would say it could not activate due to interference from the cloak.
Luckily I found if I logged off when I came back I would be uncloaked so that was the way I was able to dock.
Up until this point I thought it was just a computer issue until I loaded up my account on me wife's Mac and it had the same issue. I run on a windows XP laptop. Also my other 2 accounts worked fine on either computer.
It corrected itself after the server reboot and I have not seen it again. I have a petition in for reimbursement of the Ishtar but still no reply.

This usually happens when you clone jump while still in a ship. Theres nothing that can be done to online the modules until DT has passed, so sorry about that.
The best thing to do is to only CJ AFTER you have left your ship and sat in your pod.
As to the original op, I dont really know that answer to your problem except im hoping you CJ'd OR you have a clone that doesnt have the engineering skills to run all of the mods on that ship ...

hi,
have the same problem with 2 mods on a ship. additionally the agent i use in that station is generating error messages when opening the mission details or turning in a mission...
it seems it happened after a clone jump as it was described but it is resetable if u just go to another system and dock in a station there for refitting.
imo there is a bug existing which is affecting the destination station after a clone jump.

Same problem here. I cant put modules online after a clone jump. Also I have issues in grouping modules and activating active modules. |

just some more details on my problems here...
have them since i used the jump clone to come here (yesterday, moday after DT). the jump failed and i had to restart the client.
the problems only accure in the solar system i arrived with the jump clone!
since that some modules are not working on ships. one is a launcher so i cant change missiles on it coz the loading status isnt clear. same the agent produces error messages like "Wrong proxy or client not connected, session not found by charid=1856288344" on mission details, mission quiting and turn in if in fleet i cant go to the mission if its in the same solar system. cant target rats there and no rat respond... every action ends with a error message in logs
client restart doesnt help, only jump into another solar system resets it. missions work there normal... |

I have tried that plus jumping into another system. Neither worked. Sometimes mods look online until you undock. Sometimes ammo will show being loaded and it is not loaded. DT seemed to fix it. All cases followed a clone jump. Will have to try leaving ship prior to JC'ing. This problem did not occur prior to last patch. So CCP, whats the progress on fixing this?
Edit add: Also had to warp out of a mission because targets would not lock (and no, was not ecm'd). Target outline was blinking but nothing would happen.

I had the same problem but with a different twist. I podded myself into a station then clone jumped out. Client didnt change to destination system so I relogged. Now all mods will activate but not turn off.
Bottom line is not that you need to be in a pod, I was, but I didnt have a session change so ensure you do one before jump cloning I suppose.

Edited by: Ein Lo on 19/02/2009 12:36:23 Just to confirm, I had the same issue after JC'ing with the need to re-log. Unable to target, errors activating and onlining/offlining modules regardless of which ship is was sitting it.
The problem was purely on the account which jump cloned, my other client worked fine. The bug solved itself after DT wth no further problems.
So unless this gets fixed and it happens to you just be patient! downtime is the workaround for me atm

same problem here.. i tried all - unfit and refit - undock and dock - jump out the system and back
had the problem as i C while i was in a ship.
HOPE CCP CAN FIX THAT SOON!!! IT SUX VERY HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this problem a couple times. It occurs after jumpcloning when in a ship.
It will fix itself over downtime, but GMs can also fix it for you.
Both times I petitioned this under a "Stuck" petition, GMs got back to me and fixed it within 10 minutes. They have to boot you from the server briefly to fix it.

Yeah, I had the same issue a week ago after clone jumping to a station, and trying to jump in my Manticore. I could activate my cloak, and my ship would cloak, but the module itself wouldn't activate, and I believe it wold me that I couldn't "cloak" while I was cloaked.
