not to smack you down at all.. but
1) this is a sellers market.. people will pay the prices the sellers advertise at.. regardless of plex prices because; 1a) Its not always convienient for players to travel to highsec (where they are predomanently sold) and the risk of avoiding gatecamps/blobs/titans camping empire- 0.0 gates isnt worth the amount of isk they would save 1b) It takes forever to get to the trade hubs, unless your a macro missioner 3 jumps from jita/amarr
2) i realise you feel you are doing a good thing for the eve player base (or adding more cusomers to your plex sales), especially players that arent aware of plex's, but relaly, your just annoying sellers - not because there loosing sales, but because they now have to bump there thread above this useless one to be at the top..
3) isk is easy to earn - if you have the privaledge to be able to earn enough to play the game for free.. you have to be prepared to pay the amount sellers want. there the ones spending there hard earned real life cash :)

Pretty much true. As the prices for items in-game often varies, so does the price of GTC's. Although for some, the price is rly irrelevant, some want to sell fast (may drop the price a bit), some want to get the code fast, bidding a bit more. Thats the market, friend. Get used to it ;) Honest post from the autor of this thread, I rly see your kind intentions. But it won't affect the market prices. And in the end, it wouldn't be fair, whether to buyers, or sellers. Kind regards.

buy orders went from 650 this morning to 580 this evening. i dont care if what i did had any effect on it or not its cheaper for ppl to get time than gtcs, thats all i was saying.
i just dont see why ppl should pay more for getting a larger quantity, i know i dont want to. i understand we have a player driven market, this also means if some prices are rediculous people to go where its more cost effective for them to go. |

So don't travel to highsec with your main. Why not buy it with an alt on the same account. I've never bought a plex before, but I would bet that a plex on an alt is as good as the plex on the main.
Make a caldari business alt, and autopilot to Jita. you'll be 10 jumps from Jita tops with that char. upon creation.
anyways, free bump |

I'd like to make you know that PLEX's can be activated on the assets window, the region you are in doesn't matter, i activated a plex i had in Jita when i was deep in 0.0 =)
The only thing PLEX's can't do though is activating an account, cause to use a PLEX you need to log in. |

There was a time when you could get a 60 day GTC for just a little more than 300 misk.I agree w/ the OP, GTC are getting ridiculously overpriced.I understand it is a matter of Supply and Demand. We ( the buyers) need to stick together and refuse to buy at these inflated prices! Not everyone can play 10 hrs a day to make a billion isk every 2 months to afford the GTC's. Before people start flaming me...I know that the current trend of selling GTC's at 600-700 misk is less than 1 billion, but that isnt the only expense there is to playing the game (ie,ammo, ships and mods). As it stands now my 2nd account is inactive and will remain that way, because it just doesnt have enough to buy a GTC at the current prices. One of the others who have replied to this thread stated that GTC sellers pay their RL hard earned money to buy the GTC's.While that is true I dont see how that can explain why I should spend so much more of my hard earned isk for a GTC.

Really, prices of GTC's went to a ludicrous height. And I'm thinking its not just the players fault. How? Well, when the avg. price for 30-day GTC was always around 200-220m, and 60-day 395-410m, that prices didn't change for a long time, and market was lively, and with quite abundant supply/demand. (I didn't mention 90-day, it's not that important atm, although the price for it was proportional to above two) Everything changed rapidly when CCP killed the 30-day, and 90-day codes. Price for plex-es went surprisingly high (who set it?), leaving the rest of sellers thinking: double the time, double the price. So, today we have 60-day at a price around 200mil HIGHER imho, than it should be. Who's to blame? Players? CCP trying to somehow force the "older" players to switch to a $$$ buying method, instead of working harder for all that isk? Perhaps there's another explanation for all this, but those were first, to bump my head these days....gl on the market, folks.

Edited by: Bianca D on 09/02/2009 12:38:23 Is simple the prices of the GTC went up at the moment that CCP introduced the new cards. So is more a $ vs isk/ccp problem then that GTC seller become more sharks.
before a 90 days was $38,99 USD that makes $13 USD per 30 days now the 60 days are $34.99USD so makes $17.50 each. So roughly a price increasy of 30% for the GTC costs.
Who is the blame ?
