At only half the bonus per item than the module variant (averagely) this should be not stacked with other dmg rigs but with any damage modules.
for example 3x damage mods and 3 dmg rigs, would not be much of an increase over 4x damage mods. But 3x dmg rigs alone would increase or equal that of 3 damage mods.
This will enable smaller ships with less low slots, specificly those who attempt an armor buffer/tank a choice for more dps compared with shield tanked ships which only really benifit from a damage control on their tank - allowing for max damage mods with a full tank.

Really nope specially if they stack among themselves you woudl get around 20% more damge when you push HARD into damage
And that woudl make SOEM RIGS USEFUL!
Because as of now Rig system is a total fail where only armor, shield and cap rigs are usefull. |

meh, I like weapons rigs, but I never fit damage ones. Usually tracking and optimal/falloff. If you have the PG available, it is pretty much a free buff to your weapon performance. Who doesn't like tracking? |

Might be a good idea, actually. Perhaps make blaster setups more viable. Tanking rigs are very good at the moment and their drawbacks are not too bad whereas damage rigs impose serious strains on fittings while providing very marginal efficiency. As damage/Rof rigs are still separate, you need 2 of them to equal 1 damage mod anyway so removing the stacking completely probably wouldn't be too much. |

Imo it should stay the way it is. Except damage rigs shouldnt be as penalized when stacked with damage mods, concidering they give half the bonus and a powergrid penalty(which hurts your tank options).
What im saying is that stacking on damage modules should not penalize the stacking on rigs(they should both stack separately).

I think it's fine that they stack with mods. The real problem stems from the drawback that is too harsh. A far better alternative would be that hybrid, projectile and missile rigs reduce the ammo capacity of the turrets/launchers and energy turret rigs would increase lens damage (i.e. your T2 and faction lenses break faster).
While we're on the subject of rigs, armour rigs should have a penalty to shield capacity, and vice versa. Putting tanking rigs on Gallente and Minnie ships really hurts them (Gallente blaster boats become slower, hurting their capacity to get within blaster range, and Minnie ships throw away their small sig advantage when fitting shield rigs). |

As somebody who actually uses damage rigs in conjunction with damage mods because they're cheaper than tank rigs, I support this idea wholeheartedly. |

I think I could break 1700dps on a 3xHS2 gank hyperion w 1 T1 burst/ collision. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Brought to you by the letter ARRR!" |

I doubt you'll get anywhere near 1700 DPS with Heatsinks fit to a Hyper |
