I am talking about the last man standing in one of the finals that self-destructed his ship?
I LOLTd out loud when he did so after the commentators offering him a sum of ISK :-)

When I logged last night he was up 400 mil and that was before (iirc) the commentators pledge. He will probably get about 550-600 mil in total (there were a few buyers of Official Hero Vigil contacts too).
Not a bad return for self destructing an insured T1 frig ;)
Look out for an Agony interceptor course later in the year, and yes Ash will likely be the instructor  |

That was great sportsmanship, I must say. And glad you did, 7 minutes of laser tag really would have been.... blah....

Tbh I would have loved to see him, after he engaged his self destruct (which was the only condition for getting the iskies) to just have turned into the group and do some kamikaze style attack against the biggest ship there. Even faster, epic hero win. But this certainly worked :D Kudos! |

o7 Many thanks Crovan. I can confirm that yes, i've gotten 100M from Crovan, and 50M from Kil2. Many thanks to both of you, and to the other couple dozen that sent small donations. Much lulz were had by all.
A side note, I actually did engage willington in the middle of the fight, but he took me to half hull so fast, i decided running away was the better option - after that, it was orbit the beacon at 80, and keep an eye out for the stabbers in case they tried cutting into my orbit. Considering the other vigil popped on the previous match to a 30km flyby from another stabber, i played it safe and kept my distance.

btw, was it you who listened to them or did someone tell you that they promised you 100m ?

Towards the end of this match, while running one of the camera pcs all i could do was zoom in on this guy running like hell and the drone that kept chasing him around the arena, while laughing with the commentators.
Next time initiate self destruct then charge the enemy, mabye the explosion will take one down with you! Dam that was a long 120 seconds of camera work.

That was my own drone! I was an idiot and loaded a hobgoblin ii instead of a warrior ii, and I was too fast for my drone! So it kept "recalling" at 60KM for most of the match

My alliance mates that were listening in were like "Dude, you gotta self destruct, the commentators just promised you 100M if you do!"
