Pleease ccp, allow us to control what we see in local (and other chans) better than just per character.
This game is rated Teen right? then please allow blocking alliances 
EDIT: pls lock thread.. function exists.

last time I checked you can block everything, open mail, right click on inbox tab, choose settings and then find your way to the disallowed box. Add alliance name and your done.
Correct me if Im wrong...

It will only block mail, not the actualy chat. That said, I'm pretty sure you can turn on/off swearing filters in chat channels? |

I am not familiar with this filter... anyway I dont want to filter certain words, I want to filter the whole alliance and every one in it ,I dont want to see single line they post. |

Although I am not saying I don't support this, I do believe that the ESRB won't rate online experiences....

I would even take this further and have the ability to share blocked lists with other players in EVE.
So I travel to Jita today, block 50 annoying people and share my list with corp and other members can import the list.

Also the ability to block individual corps.
And, as basically stated by the OP, the ability to block ANY text in LOCAL WHATSOEVER.

Guys if you just do /signed, some silly mod will just delete it as "spam"...
Totally agree, or should just remove goonswarms ability to type in local all together and problem is solved :)
