Kuomi System, Domain Region, Amarr Empire. The Border to the Bleak Lands.
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
Your lone crusading capsuleer vessel drags itself towards the Caldari station's docking port, eager for repair, replenishment, and rest. Your enemies have been no weaklings, the battles have been won, but always through heavy cost.
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
After debriefing, powering down, releasing your crew for R&R, and removing yourself from the Command Capsule, you begin your travels into the depths of this sprawling city in the stars. You avoid the usual capsuleer-prepared areas, the concourses and promenades, instead feeling the heat and industrial stench of the manufacturing sections as you trudge on.
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
After several turns, you are now far from the eyes of foot traffic, though small cameras notice your approach. Your eyes search for it in the darkness...yes...there are the lonely doors, so out of place among thier surroundings. Checking behind you for a moment, you then place your hand against the inner stone archway. The spot glows for a moment, the beeps an almost imperceptible acceptance. You open the door gladly, and step inside.
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
The scent of industry and manufacturing are replaced by those of aged wood and incense, as an old Ni-kunni gentleman appears beside you to take your cloak for you. In the distance, you can hear friends in laughter and loud discussion.
They have been waiting for you. |

*Graelyn appears in front of the screen, waving his arm over the various sights super-imposed behind him*
"Welcome ...to Paradise Found!"
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
"When you need some time away from fighting the Good Fight, a place to meet with brothers in arms, or just a good meal, why bother rubbing elbows with every freak type of egger there is in some bar???
"Paradise Found is a Genuine Amarrian Club, situated right on the border of the Bleak Lands warzone, a pocket of warmth and civility in a place surrounded by darkness. Where once you could never hope to find such an upscale establishment outside of the Throne Worlds, now you can.
"Enjoy the finest Amarrian ales and refreshments, or order up a meal, gourmet-prepared by our staff (Paradise Found utilizes only 4th generation and above slaves, brought in from Empire-famous establishments), with music provided by our own in-house choir and musicians!
"Or, enjoy the silence and selection of our Study, designed in the classical Early Heideraan era, with imported wood and actual hardcover books. Give those datajacks and neural pathways a break.
Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
"Paradise Found is completely holo-equipped, with special boosted relays at the station pointed towards Providence and Khanid space for spotless bandwidth.
"So what are you waiting for? GRAND OPENING IS TUESDAY AT 20:00 EST"
*Graelyn makes a big smile as a low offscreen voice speed-talks through a disclaimer*
"Void where prohibited. Capsuleer admittance only. Admission not guaranteed by capsuleer status. Non-loyalists are not permitted. Loyal Caldari allies welcomed. Non-Amarr loyal to Empire evaluated on a case-by-case basis."
"Paradise Found! You may not want to leave."

Ex-exclusive bar? Gee! Sounds like this place will suffer of a good ol' Minmatar gatecrash soon. Last thing I heard of a club with that infamous "NO DOGS AND MATARI SUBHUMANS ALLOWED - PLEASE LEASH AT DOOR"-sign was crashed and burned by a polite and wellbehavin' Matari warband.
I would of cause never do such things. Hope your bar is good sorted.

I for one value the ability to dock up, and relax while enjoying the simpler pleasures. Now sure, it's always good to get rip-roaring drunk, but if you're looking to just relax, have a few drinks, and meet some interesting people, this seems the place.
I intend to come by soon. |

I would like to compliment the owners and operators of Paradise Found on a marvelous opening. I was able to get away to this wonderful sanctuary for a few hours and enjoyed spiced wine, tasteful conversation and good company. There is no better gathering place for the discerning imperial.
I look forward to many a pleasant evening in the future.
Godspeed.

I hereby want to thank mr. Graelyn for his hospitality and congratulate on the grand opening. As for some of the whining about not being able to enter Paradise Found.... tough luck, dogs. And for your leash remark, miss Wildfire, there were some Ammatars at the opening last night and I didn't notice any leashes on them. So please keep your conspiracy theories at bay. Thank you. ________________________________________ "Me sir? Just a simple passerby, I wouldn't know." |

Edited by: Kehmor on 11/02/2009 19:44:53 Props on the opening and all. The setup was pretty nice and the seats weren't all-together uncomfortable. The drinks? Well, they tasted like crap, but it was that sort of strong, over-powering crap that alerts you to the mass expenditure that went in to producing them, so you don't feel cheated. The music gets on your nerves after a while, but hey, no where's perfect. If nothing else I enjoyed the Amarrian celibacy; it was nice having a drink without having to tolerate an orgy going on at the same time like, in some other capsuleer holo-bars. All in all I had a decent night.
Regards,
Kehmor - Violence isn't the answer, it is the question. The answer is yes. |

So prejudiced! Well Mr Ixiris I have only asked you for one, you'll be pushing the story to great distance into the territory of lying if you were to assert that I have stated that you lack an explanation. I have merely pointed out in a most civil fashion that you are neglecting to provide a reason for why you have, based on all the facts that you allow the viewer can see, abandoned the cause you once zealously espoused.
Your willingness to pursue undue criticism of others when you have such implicit 'skeletons in the closet'...makes you more the image of what you claim to criticise than anything else.

Please highlight to me where in my previous two-sentence response that I asserted that you were asserting anything other than that I was abandoning the Federation.
Originally by: Scagga Laebetrovo I have merely pointed out in a most civil fashion
It was perhaps remotely civil when you pointed it out once, on another thread, although even that is debatable - you completely changed the subject of the argument simply to take a jab at me (while not even addressing the original point in a satisfactory manner. That you were given an answer that others seemed to find satisfactory (or at least, not worth pressing) and then continued to press the matter, accusing me of... well, essentially exactly the same thing, except with different phraseology? And now you have brought up the subject again in another thread, for no real reason? No, that was far from civil, Laebetrovo.
Originally by: Scagga Laebetrovo that you are neglecting to provide a reason for why you have, based on all the facts that you allow the viewer can see, abandoned the cause you once zealously espoused.
I find it amusing how you've chosen to construe my choice of corporation as an absolute indicator of where my nationalistic loyalties lie. I never once questioned your devotion to the Ammatar when you joined Evil Bastards, nor did I question BloodBird's loyalty to the Federation when he joined Duty. In the unlikely event that Rodj Blake were ever to leave PIE Inc, I would be unlikely to question his devotion to the Amarr Empire, misguided and wrongheaded as it is, unless I was given clear evidence he was working against the Empire. I have noticed that of the usual crowd of detractors I accumulate you have been the only one who's even taken the tiniest bit of notice of this.
Originally by: Scagga Laebetrovo Your willingness to pursue undue criticism of others
Where in my post did I criticise you, other than to suggest that your assumption about my abandonment of the Federation was incorrect? That was hardly even criticism, more a clarification - and hardly undue. Scagga, I hate to suggest this, but you may either be reading my posts wrong, or you may be discerning meaning in my statements that simply isn't there. Given that you are intelligent enough to use a metaphor such as "skeletons in the closet" without implying it literally I do not believe this is a matter of reading comprehension - I would be more inclined to say that you're seeing what you want to see, rather than what I've actually written.
Originally by: Scagga Laebetrovo when you have such implicit 'skeletons in the closet'
Would you care to tell me what they are? If you are so confident that they're there, and that I'm hiding them, surely it would be in your interests to air them?
Originally by: Scagga Laebetrovo ...makes you more the image of what you claim to criticise than anything else.
Again, would you care to point out where, in my original statement, I criticised you in any way other than to suggest that your assumption that my loyalties to the Federation have been forsaken is erroneous? ----- Andreus Ixiris Duty.
