They are leeches and worthless to the end game of EVE pvp. I kick them outa my corps and alliances. especialy the messy ones. I even grief them at times.
When will CCP lay the hammer down on them?

Edited by: Dirk Magnum on 09/02/2009 18:21:01 I find it hard to believe that someone is unable to disrupt mining operations in low or nullsec space. I have never seen a miner fitted with a cloak, and even a Hulk can't survive a gank squad. BACON or not, finding and destroying mining vessels in low sec is a simple task at worst.
Nullsec ratting is another story, what with cloaky Ravens and so forth. I'm not in favor of nerfing cloaking just because of them though. I don't really have anything against people who farm good spawns for their own enrichment. I'd do that instead of missions if I could just find the time to move a disposable JC out to nullsec again. |

Well, when the hardcore(or wannabe hardcore)PvP'ers who whine and moan about carebears supply more money to CCP than the carebears they whine about, maybe things will change. But since most of them have carebear alts feeding their PvP habit, probably not ever. |

When i mine in dangerous places i do it in a battleship rather than a hulk and have you're haulers cloaked. a BS with decent skills can easily mine as quickly as a hulk with enough upgrades and support and will survive ganks a lot easier. |

Easymode local and programs like Bacon that CCP can do nothing about makes the carebears life easy.
EVE Online PVP is a joke because there is no risk in mining and ratting in low and 0.0 space with all these handicaps for the carebears.
I know it's like 70% of CCP's subscriber base ,so I would not expect much from them. I would however rate EVE online's PVP as a 4 on a scale of 1-10.
When will CCP lay the hammer down on them?
c'monnnnn be a little creative, my main joins carebear alliances so i can shoot as many greens as i want and cause drama. BACON etc wont protect them from that. Get booted, join another.

nah i hope he stays and kills carebears like you. OP is right though, pvp from a conventional standpoint blows in eve. Gates are too big and to easy to get back to, people can redock too easily at stations. PVP 90% of the time is at a station or gate.
That's why you have to be creative.

Dear ObamaLlama
The thing is, Eve is not one game, its two
1 Industry for the "carebears": They just enjoy manufacturing and playing the market, seeing how much isk they can accumulate, so anything that might lose them isk (low sec/0.0), is obvioulsy something to be shied away from.
2 Fighting - whether this be small gang/solo combat or fleet fights/ganking. These PvPers either enjoy trying out combat skills and fits or accumulating kill mails. They have no interest in industry whatsoever, and may use the game-card mechanic to obtain isk for new ships when they need to (unless they have old industry alts aka BPO holders, or are in a communistic Corp or Alliance set up, or are prepared to graft out the isk by ratting when they have to).
So don't knock yourself out brooding about care-bears, they are simply not playing the same game you are.

I always have a cloak fitted to my hulk when I mine in lowsec, which means I must be doing something right.. if you've never seen a cloaking miner then everything is working as intended

No risk in mining in Low Sec? Bahahahahahha! I guess thats why you see dozens of Hulks in every belt there. Pro tip: If they do mine in Low Sec then their isk/hour blows chuncks.
Posting in a I have no imagination thread and want moar easy ganks and it irritates me when corpies actually try to make any isk. |
