Edited by: Horatio Starkiller on 04/08/2004 20:45:11 After the recent attempts by the Nefantar Mining Corporation to claim minmatar space as their own and mine the asteroid belts, the tribes of the minmatar were on alert for more reoccurances of such operations. Informants from the Wings of Maak notified the tribes of a possibly mining expedition heading to the Molden Heath region.
Quickly several tribes joined together and arranged a meeting point within the Heild system. A major portion of the resistance was Masuat'aa Matari led by myself and including members from the People's Republic of Matar and the Friends of Matar.
The informants from the Wings of Maak notified us that the Nefantar were heading through the back route towards Audesder, the final destination of the Nefantar remained unknown. The informants made great risks and were targetted by the Nefantar.
Several members of the resistance were already in Heild with support close behind, when the Nefantar entered... I addressed them. "What is your business here Ammatar?" the response I received was less encouraging... "I will ask the same of you pilot. What is your business in Ammatar space?" Already they showed their arrogance as can be seen by them claiming Heild being Ammatar space.
Several of the Nefantar were encountered at the Bosena Gate and decision to engage was made. With the fleet arriving at the Bosena gate in time to watch the Nafantar warp away the fleet feared they wouldn't catch them. Fortuantely Darax found them within moments and the fleet warped in to engage.
After a brief battle in which the Nefantar lost one of their Bestowers and an Omen, and in which their Apocalypse took heavy damage. The Nefantar must of selected the wrong comms channel when they revealed the same cowardice as when the first Amarrians descended on the Minmatar people in their fleets. "Nefantar fleet - retreat to Ammatar space."
The fleet quickly followed to engage and caught the Apocalypse, another Bestower and an Omen. The distance was too great for these 3 ships but initial scans revealed one of the Omens equipped with a Micro WarpDrive made a possible escape through the Gate.
We consider this a good thing... they now have someone to tell them what happened rather than their clones waking without a clue as to what went on. Take this message with you... "Ammatar claiming Minmatar space for their own will not be tolerated! Any intrusion will be met with aggressive force from the Masuat'aa Matari and their allies."

Sounds to me more like a surrender to your superior forces. Maybe the Amarrians will come to realise what useless baggage the Amattar's really are if they can't succesfully carry out their Emperor's will. ---------------------------------

It just reminded me of the jokes in my youth:
How many Minmatar does it take to...

I give Props to the Nefentar fleet. It is about time someone has stood up and began taking back what is rightfully ours. Although it was a forced engagement against ships most likely setup for mining, I am sure the Nefentar fought as valiantly as can be expected under such circumstances.
I am also glad to see that the Amarr came to aid the Nefentar Fleet. I hope to see more actions of this nature from NMA in the future. It is a good sign for our people and our way of life. -----------------------------------

As I managed to obtain the remnants of one of those destroyed Omens, I can assure you that they were not fitted for mining. From what I gather neither was the Apoc class battleship.
All I can say is, your Amatar brethren were doomed from the moment they undocked and set course for PRM space.
---------------------------------------------
If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is for ever England. |

Not considering the Apoc was carrying 6 Tachyons, and no mining lasers. -----------

uhhhh... the Ammatar destroyed was in an Omen, and most Ammatar prefer to use Amarrian ships and technology, yes? so...
You are in a maze of twisty little asteroids, all alike. |
