God damm that was lame, OK so it was my own fault for getting caught by some pirates then webified & warp scrambled, but when it eventually wore off and my 2 day old cruiser got to warp away did it? No. It just sat there produly saying it was warping (yet going nowhere) for the next 5 minutes getting 7 shades of sh*t beat out of it by 4 pirate cruisers until it was nothing but a pod.
The only upside is that some kind souls retrieved some of my gear but it isn't a patch on the cost of a new Rupture.
There isn't actually a point to this post but i'm soooooooo annoyed that i had to write something, an entire months work down the drain (and i wouldn't even feel so bad if i'd just stayed scrambled). Whats the point in buying a new ship if it'll just happen again?

Hmm, next time.. try staying on-guard, and warping-out to some nearby location the second you see trouble.
Also, when travelling, equip a MWD.. that can help, even when webified.
Activate it just before exiting warp, and you'll be moving at top MWD speed and get to your gate in a matter of a few seconds.

People say that this is lag...but it isn't. Try it yourself. Warp to a asteroid field, then try to warp to something that is behind your ship. It will turn around, and it will (most likely) take time. Sometimes much time. Now activate a mwd. Look what happens! You turn almost instantly and just warp away directly :)

I have lost cruisers to this bug and it has nothing to do with agility.
I have even been caught on stations.
This all started for the turn thing after they started the pirates shooting you while warping thing.
Lost a couple mallers in beta due to this just watched them die after 5 minutes of turning ;(.
Turn an ab or mwd on blam off you go.
Oh well some things will never be fixed I suppose.

Too many try to use Warp as if it's a "free pass" to instantly get out of the trouble they got in to, gritting their teeth, clutching their mouse, and cursing at their computer while the Eve AI lines up the ship for warp. Stop treating Warp as if it were a lottery and start taking control over your environment.
Once you hit Warp your ship will begin the alignment automatically and noticably slower than if you did this manually. Doubleclick near a warp point to manually align your ship before engaging Warp Drives. Afterburners or Microwarp Drive speeds this alignment. Only once you're generally facing your destination should you let Eve AI complete your "pre-warp" alignment procedure before whisking you across the solar system.
Always plan one escape route, always know your surroundings and your facing or relation to them. This way you will react more quickly in extremis because you've prepared for it beforehand. ----- 'I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. It's a bug, has nothing to do with how you play.
It needs to be fixed. Turning a cruiser 180 degrees should not take 5 minutes.
I get my Bestower stuck on roids and stations all the time, won't warp, have to relog. Yet another thing that is broken with this game.

I have to say this is nothing to do with auto alignment. I use the method you described everytime im mining in low sec belts etc. I click on a portion of space near the object I want to warp to and so am almost lined up perfectly with the object. I hit warp. 9 out of 10 times I immediately warp. On 1 out of 10 I sit there for 5 minutes while my ship tells me it warping but does not move. I have lost several small frigates to this (no great loss), more than anything its annoying. And to make it worse once you hit warp and the ship doesnt move you are powerless as it says cant navigate while warping so you cant even try to move away. Im not sure what causes this, possibly a bug which prevents the ship aligning properly, but im not sure.
Just m 2 cents worth. |

This seems to be a legitimate bug. I can only hope that those of you who have had this problem and came to the boards to discuss it also place a bug report in. CCP seems earnest in the efforts to fix things in-game that do not work as designed. Pandorea

I don't know if it will help you guys or not...
But I've had good luck making a bookmark, passing it, then approaching it in the direction of where my warp escape route is and stopping my ship as soon as it looks lined up (before actually reaching the book mark). Then I test it a few times before committing to mining. Also I adjust the z-axis well above any asteroids. I don't think I've had the 5 minute alignment bug since I started doing that.

It will take you a longer time to warp under fire while your ship is buffetted by missles and weapon fire. I can say it's never happened to me in PvP or PvE when I've aligned myself beforehand. If it is a bug I wouldn't want to come across it and if so, it should definately be fixed.
Make sure ya don't confuse this with being Warp Scrambled too. ----- 'I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.' - Jack Handey's Deep Thoughts |

To help alleviate the effects of this problem hit MWD or ABS after starting to warp. Always helps me out of these situations.
I do think it is rediculous though that an Industrial ship is more agile than a Cruiser.

Its a bug - old one too.
The cruiser cant complete the last portion of the "second" (as in degrees) and turn in line to warp away - as posted previously hit MWD or ABS and it will resolve the problem.
Needs fixing though.
