I dunno if this belongs in here, but since it's a suggestion I'll start here.
When CCP nerfed ECM they cut the effectiveness down(so that non-bonused ships wouldn't be as effective), and they boosted the bonused ECM ships to regain that strength.
I propose the same thing happen to the Bellicose/Rapier/Huginn. My proposal is to drop the TP bonus for the Bellicose and give it a 10% / level web strength bonus.
This is all of course if my calculations are correct. I just want the webs for the bellicose to return to what it was pre-QR(so 90% my math is T2 web is 60% * 1.5(at lvl 5 cruiser) = 90%)
I don't know if this has been suggested or if this is a dumb idea. I apologize if both apply but I wanted to see what the populace thinks.

If they did that they would have to change the other t1 ewar cruisers so:
A. its a bad idea
B. CCP is never gonna completely change the way the t1 Ewar cruisers work |

Why would they have to change them? Only the Bellicose and the Arbitrator don't get bonuses to their recon counterparts. Arbi gets tracking disruptor while the recons get vampire bonuses.
Bellicose gets TP while recon gets web.

Yes, yes I did. 
My initial thoughts were about how webs were nerfed, yet no compensation was given for said nerf.

I definitely agree with giving the t1 versions the t2 bonuses, they'd be a lot more useful that way. TD, damp and painter (roflol) arent really good enough on their own to justify flying a t1 EW ship over something else, but if they had long range nos/scrams or super webs or whatever, would be very much worth it and give them an actual role in the fleet other than designated comedy cruiser.

Um the hugin and curse all share an ewar bonus with their base cruiser. Hugin gets a TP bonus same as Belicose. Curse gets a tracking diruptor bonus same as the Arbitrator. The same pattern as the gallente. The only odd man out is the caldari with stacked ewar bonuses on both the blackbird and the recons. This is made up for by the caldari ewar ships ability to fight with any capability.
I do believe the none caldari ewar ships need a boost to their ewar range to make them at least useful against the amazingly long range of the caldari ewar ability.

incorrect. gallente specialise in warp scram, and minmatar in webs.
and you are right, it is a bit odd that minmatar would specialise in something that is nigh on useless to them. you would think it would be the caldari that has the epic painter specialization.

I think minmatar would go best with tracking disruptors, would work well against our racial enemies and allow us to kite better and orbit faster than tracking easier. |
