Hi all,
I realise that WIS is a long way away (hopefully this year) but i was wondering what the options for pirates would be. Will they get access to certain stations or will they be banished to the wastelands of space, i.e will they get shot at before approaching stations making it impossible to enter? Im asking this is im considering going towards piracy as im bored with wardecs and the ROE of 0.0 and just want some cold hard killing but i wouldnt want to severely restrict my access to WIS...
on a side note i was wondering how easy it is to recover your standing, does it increase over time or is blowing up battleships the only way to go?
Thanks for any help |

Pirates will be required to give a kitten to a special agent within the station. This kitten will then be thrown into an incinerator as a sacrificial offering to the gods of security status. |

I believe this is only accepted in Amarr space, though. |

Well since CCP has already stated that there will be no fighting in stations, awkward moments is all you are going to get. |

Oh simple answer. do away with all the namby pamby character moves that virtual worlds usually put in like wave, dance, stroke kitten, knit socks etc, and replace them with things like Throw bottle, beat with chair, kick in snarblies etc. all non damaging of course, so they can get on and do it all day if they like.

Pirates will be handled like Thufir Hawat in Dune. You must milk this tiny kitten each day for the antitoxin in order to survive in station. |

I seriously doubt pirates will be denied access to stations, the only thing you might come across are bouncers of player-run establishments that will prevent someone from getting in somewhere - at least I remember bouncers being mentioned during one of the Fanfest 2008 presentations. Also, they're putting in quite a bit of effort to make everything look lifelike, including the looks characters automatically give one another based on standings. And be honest, what's a Minmatar bar like without at least one notorious pirate in the corner eyeing you?
Edit: Took out the notorious pirate 'El Typo'.

Those with low security status will almost undoubtedly still be able to access anywhere they can dock in, even if getting there means flying to it in their pod.
What really interests me is if there will be outlaw faction WiS interiors some day. Eerie near silent Sansha stations filled with bustling drones and the odd True Citizen, blood spattered Raider Covenant halls with slaves looking a little more "drained" than usual, and militant yet piratey corporate facilities for the Gurista's all hold more appeal than rusty bars, steel plate promenades, and curved green architecture. |
