Imagine the messy ad hoc battles raging in Delve atm to one of the ancient roman battles vs the barbarian hoards. Romans set up a defensive line and the barbarians bum rush it. Lots of people die horrible grisly deaths but no one side really gets anywhere. It was just in this battle one of the generals took an arrow to the eyeball along with the normal amount of pawns on both sides.

Better losing a titan in battle than having it sat in some backwater lowsec system never used IMHO.
And yes, I've lost 4bil worth of dreads, but taken the damage they did, I'm happy they blew up in battle.

its not really 320 billion as they were in house build titans.
so its more like 4x 45-50 billion still is a ****load of isk but it is a discount to the 320 billion

Clearly you are an idiot who doesn't understand that it takes 7 days from when a tower is placed to when it claims sov. Clearly you also don't realise that Kenny towers and Cap ship arrays have been exploding all over Delve.
I was in Delve last night thats 4 less towers Kenny has and 4 more towers put down to claim sov.
Check the tower counts on Scrapheap challenge, I'll give you a pro-tip the sov map is usually at least 4 or 5 days behind where the action on the ground is up to. If you rely on that for your intel you've already failed. You are of course welcome to goto Delve and check things out yourself, but you are just a forum alt, very likely a member of the GKC lying through your teeth trying to keep up some shred of morale, have fun with that...

I too would intentionally lose 320 billion isk worth of ships for this reason...
320 billion is nearly pocket change for me. So what do you think it will be for an established alliace in one of the best isk making regions in eve?

What you miss in this is how much firepower he drew from the enemies other operations to his Titan lose(s). The distraction alone you cannot really put a price tag on. |

I know Delve War II is on and I also know Ken is taking losses and so are the Goons and the current front is liquid at best. However the losses being inflicted are not enough to even cause an inconvenience to an entity that has had the time since the beta to establish its wealth and foritfy the borders and other key systems against a war of attrition which is what it will all boil down to.
There is going to be bloody fighting for weeks to come but alas in the end it won't matter. Ken is entrenched and has all its forces concentrated defending the home turf whilst the Goons coalition are spread thin and will start taking hits to thier own undefended borders by third partys soonish if not already. Queue up a month or two and both will be tired of fighting and it will end with two diplomats calling an armed truce so they can get back to enjoying eve instead of constantly fighting in fleet battle after battle. Also all the pic was made for was to poke fun at the Goons for losing a chance to finally end this endless poo slinging contest between the two alliances once and for all and let 0.0 get back to the smaller multi sided wars which are so much funner. Now how bad a wish can that be. |
