I agree with OP. As a Stargate fan, the second I went onto SISI I noticed the remarkable similarities. I cant stand that new fitting screen and hope CCP keep trying to look original. A lot of their changes do have a lot of similarities to the tv show.
Plus theres a new MMO coming out anyway, Stargate Worlds so they might be a bit peeved if they see their only real competition pinching bits and pieces from their trademark brand. |

I think its time ccp took some of their stuff back from Stargate. Just about all the ships in atlantis are Caldari and dont even get me started on the drones. |

Something needs to be done to improve the UI and this isn't a bad change. I'm not going to keep harping for things to change and then be a **** about it when they try something new. That said, I do have concerns over the size of it. If it could be resized/scaled at my whim and had a little "return to default size/position" button in the corner, that'd be fine by me.
Also . . . REALLY? "These two things are round! OMG!".

The old fittings UI was such a great design, I wonder why they felt they had to do away with it instead of simply expanding it.
