This post is long overdue because I feel Noir. deserved a public praise for the service they offered us.
In October 2008, Noir. was contracted for harassment and enemy logistics line patrol in Deklein against Goodfellas. Our alliance had planned to push G0ds back into Deklein to keep them occupied there rather than in Tribute.
We approached several mercenary corporations, just about every known and established ones, to see who was ready to take on this sort of contract. Noir. was by far the most responsive and the most professional. They agreed to all our demands and in spite of their small numbers managed to conduct their operations deep into 0.0 with great success!
Alek was a pleasure to work with and I definitely recommend his services for whatever job you might need done.
Thanks!

Edited by: Joe Shooter on 13/02/2009 17:18:29 This thread has me confused, I desperately want to flame Goodfellas, but at the same time I really, really want to point out that your idea of a great success is a little different from mine.
Oh wait, we left goodfellas before they failure cascaded so it's all cool.
tl;dr: You both suck.
EDIT: I LOVE NOIR. ___________

Thanks, Halada. :) I went on an EVE hiatus for a bit after that contract (RL, new house, all that). It was a lot of fun working with you guys. Lots of folks willing to be helpful in alliance too.
lol, I think I still have a Phobos in 1X. >.<

Thanks for the kind words Halada.
At the time of the Deklein contract we were about half the size we are today and our then partners TNT were in the process of getting their house in order for their retirement. We were supposed to be part of a larger collection of mercenaries, which as Halada mentioned included some very big names, but we were the only ones who managed to actually deploy an effective force in the target area.
Still, we put up some pretty good numbers against G0DS and their pets, tied up signifigantly larger fleets/gangs, had carriers chasing us a few times, and got some colorful comments from G0DS pilots who didnt know us to "gtfo of our space" and "go grief someone else for a while". Considering the circumstances and the numbers we put up, and that our employer was/is happy, I'm very happy with how things turned out.
Then a few weeks later we got another contract to do an emp dec against G0DS and danger happened .
Regardless of the internal politics of G0DS or any of that stuff there was alot of mutual respect. We knew alot of the former Unatural Selection guys from our time in fountain and WR3CK even had one or two former Noir. in it so there was alot of good naturedness. And there was Joe, who dec'd us wayyy back when a lil bit after we started up (love you too buddy )
So again, thank you to Halada and it should be noted he was an excellent employer right back. Communicative, reasonable, held to contract commitments including paying very promptly. |

I have said it before and I will say it again, a killboard neverEVER tell the entire story on how sucesful a merc have done its contract. In this case the client is happy, so whatever the killboard says, its not relevant.
I do agree that a killboard can "indicate" how good they are to kill stuff, but then again there are so many factors in a contract, that killboards dont cover. |

Edit: By scraps off the table, I assume you mean our current contract? Seems like it's an internal issue if the correct orders are not executed to prevent these kind of losses... |

GODS has been called a lot of things, but I believe this is the first time they've been called 'dumbass mission runners'.

Yeah, not exactly their thing.
I'm pretty sure the post you were responding to was referring to our current contract, not G0DS.

Sometimes just looking at a kb, you might not be able to tell what happened in a contract.
But i can assure you, our current contract is exactly what it looks like |

I just think its funny when Merc corps pat themselves on the a** for their "performance" when its really no different then what the Pirates do except they have a "free pass/war dec" to gank in high sec
Great job, instead of getting the guy jumping into a .4 you got him in a .6 while he was on his cell phone, keys in one hand trying to unlock the door, and a bag of groceries in the other
Well anyways, I do think you guys are good pvp'er but harrasment and disrupting supply lines makes you sound like a bunch of purse snatchers and pick-pockets.
Just sayin..

1. I recommend paying attention while playing Eve, if you don't, you will certainly get ganked hardcore. I've been paying attention to what I'm doing and I still get popped, don't make lame excuses. If you aren't paying attention, you'll get owned.
2. Mercs do what they are PAID to do. If we get paid to disrupt people who aren't normally PvPers, that is what we do. If I told you I felt as big a rush popping an ice miner as I do fighting a 5v5 small gang fight, I'd be lying to you.
