Edited by: pod saleswoman on 13/02/2009 21:06:15 I downloaded the .rtp patch file but have no idea how to use it to patch using this file. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Edit: figured it out. DL the .rtp file then use the 704k patch file with the .rtp file in your sisi directory. |

I am deleting my "old" SISI folder, copying my c:\progfiles\ccp\eve to c:\progfiles\ccp\evesisi. Then I am installing these:
LINKAGE
The TQ to Version, not the 2nd set. I'll let ya know if that works, but you can give it a shot too. |

Exactly, that's how you do it :) Also, make sure that the .rtp and the patch file is in the same directory. |

WOOT! Glad I'm on the right path and not some stupid little sisi tester... |

Patch failed unexpectedly...would you like to manually download it? NO!!! I already did.
Here's what I'm looking at. New copy-over of current TQ install - c:\progfiles\ccp\evesisi Downloads from link I posted prior - desktop\evepatch\20090213 - had both files downloaded and in the folder but now the .rtp is gone! where it be?!
I think I am going to have to hold off on installing this. Starting to drive me up the wall.

So I did all of that: 1) Downloaded 732 MB RTP file to my EVE Test Directory 2) Downloaded the EXE file to the same directory 3) Ran EXE.
Process seems to run ok, but ends with a window saying that the update 'ended unexpectedly'
No clue how to proceed. FYI, since I am a Classic user now I had to download the entire TQ Premium version to get onto Sisi this release. Would prefer not to do that again...

Did you download the current TQ client -> Sisi patch or the old Sisi -> new Sisi patch? |

If you just downloaded and installed the premium client you need the current client -> new Sisi patch.

Had the same problem with the .rtp and .exe file and solved it with some info from a linux thread.
copy the file Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest from your eve\bin\Microsoft.VC80.CRT\ folder into your windows/winsxs/manifests folder and rename the file to x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_x-ww_6b128700.manifest
then copy your Microsoft.VC80.CRT folder from your eve\bin\ folder into the windows/winsxs/ folder and delete the Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest file inside it and rename the Microsoft.VC80.CRT folder inside the windows/winsxs/ folder to x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_x-ww_6b128700
