Dude, everything used to be a lot more expensive anyhow before drones started dropping alloys.
So it's just reverting back to something closer to what it once was. |

How exactly is it speculation to assume mineral prices will go up?

In this case though, the OP (according to Copine) is attempting to drive prices higher by posting on the forums causeing people to buy mins at currently inflated prices before the patch under the assumption (likely incorrect one) that they will raise after the patch.
Most likely, they will go down, as with every expansion (effected object prices raise, then drop after release). |

Gank more hi-sec miners.
After all, your fine with paying more for each gank, so long as those boring afk miners get ganked in the process... LOL @ High sec miners thinking they're actually a factor. Most of the minerals come from loot until the patch. I hate to break it to you but combat players die a lot more than miners. Ganking has no effect. |

These guys mine and build and yes they also need to make iskies therefore they sell to alliance first. 4> Planetary Interaction. great passive income some corps have you give them your PI for POS fuel.
You figured out thats a good start More like we have our pilots and then PI alts, who are also now the mining alts. And Indy alts as well. The Indy alts turn on or off depending on how worthwhile it is to build compared to the usual importing. I think some of them have been heating up the ovens recently to bake battleships, not sure though (obviously the cap ship producers are always at work, since we can't import those from Jita).
No salvager alts though, newbies do that admirably :)
Oh yeah, and the usual ... cyno alt, booster alt, scouting alt, supercap holder alt (if you're into that) the usual run of things you might have an alt for. Take all the tech Build all the titans Drop all the POSes

Quite often, speculations exaggerate an underlying true event.
The true event is indeed here:
- Drone regions nerf - Drones getting bounties (partially offseting the nerf to incursions) so ISK faucets are not much weakened. - Removal of meta zero drops. This is very very big as I have seen how stupidly worthless the wrecks become. Looting wrecks will become even less wanted and this could cause a shortage in meta > 0 items as well and further reinforce the nerf. - Hulkageddon and Burn Jita.
Will the above series of events be enough to not let prices crash? Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

All they've done is create a situation where A few large Alliances will dominate 0.0. The only Alliances that will be able to afford SRP are the ones with Tech moons. With Alliances like PL taking in 24 bil a DAY, in moon income, they cannot possibly lose enough ships to to matter. So, it means that most alliances can't afford to fight for the moons, as they cannot replace the losses as easily.
Which means that once again, CCP has ignored the real issues in the game, and instead went after Drone poo...GG CCP.

i never meant to cause speculation (and im sure day before patch isn't the best time to play with the market really?) it was a serious question coming from a pvper.
Like already posted, the people that i am fighting can change every few months and it will come down to what alliances have stock pilled a shed ton of isk to be able to afford ship replacement programmes but for your average pvper with no rich alliance to fund your pvp hangar are these changes too much, that was what i was asking.
People have been saying for years that most ways to make isk be it npcing/0.1 isk trading/mining are rather boring and after this patch with the prices raising we will have to do these activities for alot longer which means players are infact "grinding" hours for something which can be killed in less than 3 seconds to a alpha fleet of maelstroms. |
