Hi :3
I have a suggestion:
Add the Rigs category to the list of things that can be saved to a fit as cargo rather than as a fitted module. This would enable people to save rigs to a fit and automatically "include" them in an assembled ship without committing those rigs by actually fitting them.
This way a ship can be assembled for sale (via contracts) or for sitting in a corp hangar, but could later be repackaged without loss if it never actually got sold or used.
This should be a really easy change since Rigs is a whole item category like the Ammo/Charges category, not hard like the Liquid Ozone change you mentioned looking at.
Please do this, including rigs as cargo is The Best Way. |

Punkturis, you do the best fixes.
Liquid Ozone and combat boosters would own as well. Also, you should have it save linked weapons and drone groups, but that might be a bridge too far.
I would love to be able to land in a station, damaged but not destroyed, click a button, and be restocked with everything I need. |

Has the "fit to a certain slot" requirement been removed too? Otherwise I see rigs being deleted becuase they're 3-2-1 instead of 2-3-1 for instance.
Oh, and the error message you get when moving a gun from slot 1 -> 2 stating you have no slots left.. while its actually just a move? Someone once said I was a muppet. If that's so, I'm quite sure the Swedish Chef is my brother.-á |

Can we include scripts too? like the one for the sensor boosters or the tracking comps? Sometimes when we need to share a fit in chat, we have to say what scripts we're using. I think that info should be there somewhere.

Thanks for the changes!
The "Fit want you have skills for" will really help me as I ... er.....acquired... a ship with a T2 rig that I cannot fit myself. And I cannot use saved fits as a result. You change will help that! So will the changes to make mass fitting as I have had to do that a few times.
And that brings up another issue. Once you mass fit 100 ships, you got to do something with them, something that usually requires use of contracts. But to contract 100 fitted ships you got to click the "Non-empty container!" warning 100 times.
Maybe you can add a "Same for all containers in this contract" check box? Or a "Do not show again" check box?
Also a "remember settings" for contracts would be nice. That will greatly speed up making separate contracts for each ship. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Same request as I made in the sisi feedback thread. I love these changes, absolutely love them, but I really hope this gets expanded to saving all modules in a cargohold/fuel bay/corp hanger.
Reasons behind this are mainly for us capital pilots. I carry dozens of different fittings in my Thanatos' corp hanger. Extra cap rechargers/cap power relays/cloak for travel fit. Extra neuts and smartbombs, ECCM/Remote ECCM modules, extra tank modules (including a shield tank, call me paranoid), warp core stabs. The list goes on.
I do the same thing in my Moros. I carry an even number of stront for siege cycles and the rest is fuel, it'd be awesome if those amounts were saved. Then I carry extra tank mods, tracking mods, warp core stabs, extra tank, etc in my cargohold as well.
Even in subcaps there's times when I carry an extra cyno field generator just in case. I can always fit it on a POS or a nearby carrier and light an emergency cyno, this goes back to the liquid o as well. |

Changes look good but there is still 1 problem.
If I'm using an logistics alt to supply the alliance with ships but the alt doesn't have combat skills I won't be able to fit the modules or rigs to the ship.
Is there any chance that modules you don't have the skills to fit could be placed in the cargo hold rather than just fail?
That way I could at least create the contracts knowing all the right bits are included. |

Could you add the 'directly use things out of corporate hangar'.
I'm tired, as a full director or even CEO of a corporation to be told I don't have access to an item if I try to use it out of a corp hangar.
Whether it's a ship, or a implant, or whatever, It's extremely frustrating to get the 'can't use that item'. Especially with the new horrible cargo interface. |

CCP Punkturis wrote: FIRST THING! The biggest annoyance appeared to be that rigs in saved fittings aren't fit. To solve that in such a way people don't accidentally fit expensive rigs they didn't want to fit we've added a question asking if you really want to do that. That question is suppressible so if you're confident you'll never make a boo-boo, you can just check that box and never see the question again.
We also decided that if there are already rigs fit on the ship, no rigs will be added or destroyed (you'll get a notification saying why your rigs weren't fit). Let's be clear: CCP is restoring functionality that it removed. The ability to automatically fit up rigs with all of the warning bells was previously available to pilots until it was removed in a patch w/in the past year or so. I'm pretty sure you're not right about this because people have been asking for this for way over a year.. but my THIRD THING is something that used to work and then stopped working and was fixed now Thank you for the "third thing" fix.
Yes, it is true that saved rigs used to automatically be fit to the ship if the rigs were:
1) saved in the fitting
2) were supported by the fitter's skills
3) were present in the active station hangar.
Admittedly, I do not recall the exact patch where this functionality stopped working, but I do remember the moment that I went to fit up a ship and the rigs did not go along for the ride. The despair that CCP had changed / broken yet another thing w/o documentation really helps to make an imprint in a customer's mind. I am sorry that CCP's institutional change logs and knowledge sharing did not record this moment.
I am glad that CCP is restoring this functionality, of course. 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284286 |

Obviously a "batch fit" button that lets you queue the system up to go through a certain number of ships you want fit up, but that sounds super exploitable and I would assume would tax whatever item DBs they use for this stuff way too much if a load of people were using it at the same time.

Being able to select a stack of ships and "apply fitting" to all of them.
Also being able to specify a ship name in the fitting would be cool |

A way to turn off the "non empty container" warning. A way to duplicate contracts. Even just remembering the settings (things like "alliance only", the cost, etc.) so after making the first contract, you just fast click "next" and "finish" for all the others. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I'd like to see carriers easily able to change fitting on the fly, ignoring drone bay contents.
The easiest way to do it would be to have a check box to ignore drones in a fitting. This also gives you the possibility of making a check box to ignore rigs, which I believe would be the best way of implementing this into the UI. |

Unless that's been stealth-added recently no they aren't, it's the main reason I next to never load saved fits when I want to just swap launchers/hards, if I have to redo the groups by hand I find it easier to just do the whole lot that way, would be awesome if they did get saved tho.

Please do this, including rigs as cargo is The Best Way. if it was possible to add the modules you didn't had skills for on the cargo also it would be nice :) (but that must be harder) |

Count yourself lucky that we aren't back at the 50-fitting level when CCP first imposed the fitting limitations. Going from unlimited and locally saved fittings to a hard limit of 50 was a terrible way to treat customers. I do not recall when CCP increased the limit to 100, but by that point, I had totally given up asking for redress.

Any chance that POS dwellers (wormholes, etc) will be getting some "Fitting luv"?
1. It would be a very, very nice improvement if it were possible to use the fitting functionality from a SMA/CHA at a POS. For those of us living in WHs rehsipping to some other fitting is click and drag click and drag. It would be great if the Fitting Service was able to utilized fittings stored in in the currently opened CHA tab
ie: Open SMA --> Board Ship of choice --> Open CHA --> Select desired tab --> ALT+F and then remove/fit fittings through Fitting Manager using the active ship and the active CHA tab.
2. I know that T3 (Tech not Tier) Strat Cruiser are, at times, a PITA for wormhole dwellers because the subsystems cannot be altered at a POS. I don't know the reasons why this is the case (whether it is "lore" or backend tech) but being able to do this would be phenomenal. Almost guaranteed to increase the number of splosions in and around w-space. That's a good thing no?
3. Repackaging at POS - is this on the roadmap (plzsayyes) for future implementation? Being able to repackage modules and hulls that won't be used but periodically would be excellent. As would the side benefit of shipping in and out of wh.
Thank you. Really been enjoying all the work and improvements that CCP has made post-Incarna. I mean that in various ways too. |

Jesus Punkturis, going to be blowing up some POS towers with that catalyst fit? Sooo much ammo lol
Love the changes though.
As some others have said, and I'll likely repost into the F&I discussion section, is it possible to get information on said fit in a more information window? Much like how the current fitting window has the expansion arrow that shows more stats, bringing that onto a saved fit that might show relevant information with your skills and such would be downright ******* awesome.
As a second idea to that, having a market section that shows the current price of the modules in your region/total price of the fit in your region and the option to buy all the modules on said fit, with a single click (or two..) would save people a lot of time and hassle. I understand you can save it to the quick bar and get the items that way, but you still have to click each module, find the right price, right place, click buy now, confirm, repeat for EVERY module type.
I'm lazy, and if I think the price is reasonable, why not just hit buy now and have it do it for me? All ready to go.

there won't be added a "buy this" button now and I don't have any plans on doing so.. but until then you can drag the fitting to the market quickbar and have all the things there.. should at least make things a LITTLE bit easier Gÿà EVE User Interface Programmer Gÿà GÖÑ Team Super Friends GÖÑ @CCP_Punkturis My Dev Blogs |

Any chance we could be allowed to fit ships without actually sitting in them? And subsequently, allow fitting ships we can't fly or with modules we can't use? (Obviously you wouldn't be able to board or undock those ships.) |

Great changes in this one.
One problem that I would love to see solved happens when fitting a T3 (Strategic Cruiser). Sometimes the fit will fail to actually place any modules on the ship. The subsystems always seem to get mounted but nothing else. Any fix for this would be great. |

And about saving things in cargo... couldn't we have ANY items in cargo saved as well ? Pretty please with a cherry on the top ?
That would help a lot to : - add the backup fit in the hold (like the combat fit of your carrier, or an extra tackle module for your hurricane) - refill an industrial before the daily trips to production planets (which takes some time and is a pain in the current sitiuation) - add the pax amarria, exotic dancers & other diverse voodoo dolls (mandatory in any pvp ship) - create fittings with containers (that give additionnal room for cap charges) - and more !
from the Sisi feedback thread :

P.S. Adding "enhanced" functionality which actually serves to fix broken functionality does not deserve the "gee wiz wow".
You are actually grasping at straws for things to moan about arent you, let me clear something up for you.
As she herself has said many many many times PUNKTARIS DOES NOT WORK ON THE UI IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM so taking pissy little snipes at her because you dont like something she had nothing to do with is both pointless and more than a little sad. Same goes for you Van dergraff.
Anyway straying back to the topic at hand a load of stuff is improved, some broken stuff is fixed and nothing was busted in the process, I call OP success!! |

Wow, great stuff.
I am encouraged, there is some iq here :)
btw, can you perhaps PLEASE fix the search functions?
I know these things were established like in the 70s but try to make a contract to "Prime" or "prime" - and in either case i'm at the 126'th position in teh list, despite being the only EXACT match. 43 prime seems to be a more exact match to 'Prime' then well, 'Prime'
It makes life a nightmare for old people like me with good n simple names. People have actually given up when trying to private contract me.
Also, recently, searching contracts for 'ddon blue' - like to find a geddon bpc or whatever, does not match anything?!?
it seems the search functions in eve have been downgraded to "only match if the beginning matches cuz we forgot what a search is"
i luv you 411 - plz fix k thx
ps. this is not a thread highjack, but a compliment cuz i think you could actually fix it since you show ability with teh fits ;) |

First, CCP Punkturis, ******* AWESOME. I love the ammo in cargo! And the RESTORATION of the rigs fitting!
And yes, sorry Punkturis, he is absolutely correct that rigs in saved fittings would fit to your ships once upon a time a long time ago. I have a perfect memory :p
Reference material available :
Whine Thread :: http://eve-search.com/thread/1465547-0/page/1#1
Patch Note Reference to prove its existence : The fitting manager now prompts the normal 'rig warning' message when fitting a rig from a saved fitting. http://community.eveonline.com/updates/patchnotes.asp?newpatchlogID=2864
I can't find the patchnote for when they stopped doing it. But i do remember reading something at some point...
Either way, proof is clearly there. "Rig warning" message when fitting a rig from a SAVED fitting.

Great stuff and all, but may I suggest another improvement for the UI? because it would really be pure awesomness if the UI position, opened chat channels, overview settings, well... The UI... was saved server side... it strikes me that this hasn't been implemented yet with such an old game and we have to rejoin chat, rearrange windows and stuff anytime we use a new computer. Keep a local copy for reduced server load, but if logging for the first time on a comp, download the stuff in a XML file and rock 'n roll. My 2cts. "- You want a sandwich, Bacon?" Very Nice. I love the changes.
If I may, one more feature I have always wanted since the fitting manager came out, "Buy this fitting" button. When clicked it would go to the market, in the station you are currently in, and quote you a total cost for all available modules and the hull. It would make note of any unavailable modules and present the user with an accept quote and cancel purchase buttons. if accepted, the tool would verify all modules are still availible, then subtract the quoted amount from the players wallet, and buy all the parts for the player. From here the parts could be 1)dropped in the hanger or 2)Auto fitted to the hull !!! CCP could even charge a small .5% fee or something for the buying service and it would still be used. |

It may be working, I don't know, but we no longer support it. You don't need to download a full client for Sisi, you can just copy your existing installation and patch it using the instructions found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity#Accessing_Singularity

I got in after some messing around..
First I copied the existing install to a new folder and renamed it singularity, then pointed the Sisi launcher at it, which then ran and patched only the blocks necessary, but when it got to the launcher screen it validated the install but clicking on the play button did nothing, having waited several minutes between clicks and checking the task manager for ExeFile.
Created a shortcut /server:Singularity to the eve.exe as described but it opened the launcher with the same problem as before. Ended up creating a shortcut to bin/exefile.exe /server:singularity and that let the client open.
Not sure how long it will last when a new patch comes along though. |

You can roll it back by calling the EVE or the Launcher from the command line, or via a shortcut with the /forceupdate argument:

I have some not so good news and some good news!
Not so good news rigs in cargo as some people have requested will not be saved this time - sorry about that. it's just a little bit more complicated and needs more special casing (I don't like that) than I would have wanted.
The good news Ice products in cargo will be saved under "Fuel". This means that your Liquid Ozone, any type of Isotopes and Strontium in cargo will be saved with the fitting
Hope this addition to my changes will make some lives in New Eden even better

I just haven't given it any thought. These changes were mostly made for those who are mass-fitting ships but weren't really made so that people didn't ever have to think about their fittings again

If the changes were supposed to help people who mass fit ships then why do we still need to have maxed-out combat skills for all 4 races to do it? While your changes are good, and thanks a lot for the work you have done, this solution does not seem to actually cure the problem that you set out to fix.
Items we don't have the skill to fit cause a popup and the item remains in our hangar. With a simple change these items could be placed in the hold of the ship in question. If the hold fills up THEN you should pop up a message and leave the item in the hangar - this cures the problem you set out to fix. |

I want to clear that up that I'm not actively working on making fixes and changes to the saved fittings. I had a few days available after the deployment of Inferno so I just picked a few things many people had been asking for.
I believe my changes fix the problem of mass-fitting ships for most people, at least the thank yous and appraisal I've gotten from those people in various corporations and alliances make me believe that.
Changing things so that you can fit things you don't have skills for, or add everything in cargo you can't fit is out of scope for these little things I made (also more of a game design decision than a programmers decision).
Hope my changes will at least help you somewhat!

Normally I'd check this myself, but I'm at work right now and the thought just occurred to me. If we have a fitting saved with, say, 5000 charges in the cargohold, but only 4000 in our hanger and we try to fit the ship, will it place 4000 in the cargohold (and maybe pop up a warning), or will it just fail and not load anything? |

Edit in reply to Punkturis below: \o/
I just tested it. It fits what it can, then gives the "not all items fitted" message.
Edit: And that is why people ask: It gets answers faster than testing it.
To CCP: Although "Fit" does fit charges, "Strip" does not remove them.
Edit: And that is why testing it yourself is good, it generates new feedback to CCP. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Pretty much, this thread is *only* 11 pages long. If we have a fitting saved with, say, 5000 charges in the cargohold, but only 4000 in our hanger and we try to fit the ship, will it place 4000 in the cargohold (and maybe pop up a warning), or will it just fail and not load anything?
Edit in reply to Punkturis below: \o/ I just tested it. It fits what it can, then gives the "not all items fitted" message. To CCP: Although "Fit" does fit charges, "Strip" does not remove them. I don't want to make it remove them because you could just as well have had them in your cargo before - so I don't want to remove stuff from cargo. Maybe a "strip" button, and a "stip+unload" button? Prime I don't get what issues you're having with the search.. maybe file a bug report?
Cool, a response directly to me :)
basically, search is broken, I hope you can fix it. I have tried to file an in game bug report, but it was promptly closed as "thats the way it works, stop complaining".
2 bugs...
1. "prime" matches 'prime' but is 152'nd on the list of matches, while stupid things like '52 prime' are at the top of the list. I only ask that "prime" gives "prime" at the top of the list (this is extremely frustrating for the few old people like me with good & simple names... we can no longer get private contracts setup to us without a long explanation on how to find us in the massive list.
2. "ddon blue" does not match on contract search at all... it seems that partial search matches no longer work unless the BEGINNING of the terms match the beginning of the item... it should return "armageddon blueprint" but does not match anything... its really sad since both of these things USED to work, but were 're-programmed' by, apparently, a first year intern |

Ideally a saved fit would remember:
What charges are loaded and what are in the cargo bay ( I got the impression that all charges will go into the cargo bay).
The grouping of the guns
The modules "out in space" position (eg in the F1 or F2 slot etc)
What groups the drones are in (this is problematic as groups are user defined)
Have a "buy all at current station button" and a "check all is available at current station button"

First of all welcome back Punkturis! Hope it was a good vacation.
Second thing, some suggestions for a future patch:
1) Ability to store the position of the modules shown on the screen.
This would help twofold:
Swapping ships or sharing fittings would both be removed the bothersome "now I have to re-assign all the modules HUD buttons again so that the AB / MWD comes first, then shield booster, then hardeners... Expecially for grouped weapons this usually involves re-dragging all the turrets / missile launchers to the left, since they appear every other icon, with one HUD icon greyed and usually ending up behind the overview window (so we have to un-pin it, move / resize it just to grab the icon and drag it in position.
2) When dragging and dropping a fit onto the market hotbar (A GREAT THING! <3 ), could you also place the ship hull in the list? Nothing more embarassing than buying the full Orca fittings and then discover you forgot the Orca itself!
3) When dropping a fitted ship (i.e. from the ships hangar in station or at POS) on the market hotbar, only the hull gets in there. Now, showing just the hull makes sense when dropping 1 or more repackaged ships. But in case of fitted ships what about copying the same behavior of the fitting window and so create a folder with said hull and all the various modules etc, like if you dropped a saved fitting? The code to do it looks basically similar.
4) You gave us the nice ability to drag and drop show info / links pilot names into the "Name" edit box of the private item swap contracts. Could you please also make it possible to drag and drop the finished / active contracts price into a new contract?
Workflow:
I open a completed contract (I sell hundreds of BPC contracts), start a new contract, drag the big red big price from the completed contract into the empty price box of the new contract.
5) Manufacturing window: you know when we get to the "Accept quote?" window we get a table with the list of stuff. It'd be really nice if we could drag the item names into a chat.
I.e. if I need Crystalline Carbonide Armor Plates, I'd love to be able to drag such name on a chat and ask for it and similar.
Another great feature would be:
Right click on "Accept quote?" window => Copy to clipboard
We got it for other table windows, it'd help nicely to do it for materials, so if we miss just 10 of this and 20 of that we can later paste the names and quantities on the market window.
OR
if you feel masochistic, add a right click menu next to each item: "Buy missing quantity" that would directly open a buy window for that item, with the quantity already typed in. Auditing | Collateral holding and insurance | Consulting | PLEX for Good Charity

I know this would be a big change compared to what eve has to offer already, but buying each component of a fit is a small hassle. Having to right click each module->view market details->buy. Something that would be really nice to have one day is a quote system.
So on the saved fit would be a button to buy all the modules, this would bring up a quote screen with all the modules at the best price within a user defined number of jumps. Obviously if you are at a decent trade hub this would be easy to ensure all the modules are available in current station.
The user can define certain parameters to adjust weighting towards same station or towards cheaper price.
If the quoted items are to the user's satisfaction all they need to do is click buy, which will buy all the items and then click the already available 'fit' button to fit their favourite setup quickly. If this is done from a trade hub which usually has all the components available the user could have their usual fitting sorted within 2-3 clicks.
At the moment the system is 'ok' (satisfactory, but not exactly great), but if you are into faction warfare (and not very good) you are having to do the same process over and over. Would be reaallly nice to be able to just say 'buy this whole fit', confirm prices and then 'fit' and get straight back out. |

Great work, I've loved the fitting tool since it came out. It's one of the most useful tools in EVE. I have a couple of suggestions since we're on the topic :)
- How about removing the limit of 100 stored fittings when on the CCP server?
- Since it already knows whether we have the skills for the fitting or not, how about an indication whether the fit puts us over the CPU or PG limit before it's fitted?
There are awesome tools out there like EFT and PYFA but for the new player, everything we can do to make it easier for them to avoid being frustrated is a good thing in my opinion
Cheers

Vaerah Vahrokha wrote:2) When dragging and dropping a fit onto the market hotbar (A GREAT THING! <3 ), could you also place the ship hull in the list? Nothing more embarassing than buying the full Orca fittings and then discover you forgot the Orca itself!
I like it... let's do it! (sometime). This is what I did with the blueprints.
Vaerah Vahrokha wrote:3) When dropping a fitted ship (i.e. from the ships hangar in station or at POS) on the market hotbar, only the hull gets in there. Now, showing just the hull makes sense when dropping 1 or more repackaged ships. But in case of fitted ships what about copying the same behavior of the fitting window and so create a folder with said hull and all the various modules etc, like if you dropped a saved fitting? The code to do it looks basically similar. I like this one too... maybe by SHIFT dragging or something like that? (although some people wouldn't be happy with that hidden feature)
Vaerah Vahrokha wrote:4) You gave us the nice ability to drag and drop show info / links pilot names into the "Name" edit box of the private item swap contracts. Could you please also make it possible to drag and drop the finished / active contracts price into a new contract? Maybe... I wouldn't hold my breath on that one though.
Vaerah Vahrokha wrote:5) Manufacturing window: you know when we get to the "Accept quote?" window we get a table with the list of stuff. It'd be really nice if we could drag the item names into a chat.
I.e. if I need Crystalline Carbonide Armor Plates, I'd love to be able to drag such name on a chat and ask for it and similar.
makes sense... I'm not sure if it's that easy though because I think the quote window is modal and I'm not sure if you can drag it to chat then.
Vaerah Vahrokha wrote: Another great feature would be: Right click on "Accept quote?" window => Copy to clipboard
We got it for other table windows, it'd help nicely to do it for materials, so if we miss just 10 of this and 20 of that we can later paste the names and quantities on the market window.
Why not just add the ability to use ctrl+c to copy it like in the other tables? If it doesn't already have that, I'll add it, but I'm not sure about the right click thing. CCP karkur | User Interface Programmer | Team Avatar | @CCP_karkur |

I have another suggestion, aimed at newbies (they can use all the possible help to grasp this game).
When docked in a Primae, dropping a command center on top of it should not trigger an error but place said command center in the command center hold.
There's no mention of a command center hold in the right click ship menu as well, just cargo hold. I sharply remember my Orca having a menu for the various holds.
Also, there's no mention of a command center cargo in the bottom left of the fitting window.
Finally, it'd be cool to always open the inventory on the largest hold for the current ship. So a newbie (but also regular players for their other ships) would by default see the command center hold opening up. It's not like they can really use the 100m3 general hold anyway. This is fantastic. Thank you very much!
But why? oh why would you limit it to charges? That seems like a rather pointless, arbitrary limitation.
We will still have to manually load extra modules, fuel, drugs...
Why not simply save and load everything from all the cargo bays? |

These efforts have saved us all ages.
In my glorious and beloved Alliance we actually have a medal, 'the order of the worn mousefinger' for those brave souls who had to do this the long way. I fully endorse anything that get's us out of the hangar again quickly and back into the fight.
I fully respect that for technical reasons not all items can be added. What I could ask is that their be a 'divide stack by quantity' in the right click drop down options of a stack to support this feature. For instance, if I have a stack of a module which I could choose to put into the cargo holds of each of a number of identical ships fitted using this useful changed system, for refit, it would save millions of giga-aeons (their are so many numbers that eventually one has to be called this) dividing stacks into 8's to just drop in. Only a suggestion, but in harmony with this change I believe this could be the perfect time reducing complementary component, bearing in mind the technical limitations.
Sorry to be asking for more on such a good day, but I have my reputation as an annoying git to consider.
Either way, first round on me at Fanfest!

So here is my suggestion again, seems to be lost 2 pages back already...
fix 2 bugs please
2. "ddon blue" does not match on contract search at all... it seems that partial search matches no longer work unless the BEGINNING of the terms match the beginning of the item... it should return "armageddon blueprint" but does not match anything... its really sad since both of these things USED to work, but were 're-programmed' by, apparently, a first year intern
Keep up the great work on fittings also :) thanks, |

Some people might not realize the impact of this change, but for me, and the CFC this is a big one. The ability to mass fit ships is critical to bloc level warfare in the current EVE. Before, this was an exercise in torture, basically being set on fire after beaten half to dealth.
This has removed the being lite on fire part! Thank you for these changes, you have improved the life of many a mentor, and logistics person in null.

If you guys could fix the ghost stack bug again that would be pretty sweet. It got fixed in the initial session change patch, then was broken again a patch later. It's something to do with fast session changes, as if I am in the groove and fitting fast, I cant trigger it every 10 ships or so, forcing me to relog or undock/redock to fix.

I would like it if the fitting logic checked the current ship cargo hold as a source of the modules needed for a new fit. An example would a muti-role ship that needs to switch back and forth between sets of fittings depending on the next activity at a new destination.
EGs: a viator switching between stabs or expanders in the lows, a carrier switching between travel and battle fits, a mission runner switching hardeners between missions.
In most of these cases I carry the alternate modules with me in cargo. To use the stored fittings as they are now, I have to drag all the modules already in my cargo to station, use the fitting service, drag all the unused modules back to cargo. This may or not be a problem depending on what else is stored in the station hangar. If several hundred other items are stored in the station hanger this gets old very quickly.
Please may the source of module fitting include the current ship cargo hold. |

CCP Punkturis,
As you know you're my favorite dev.
Your work in EVE is always appreciated and this is a perfect example that you listen and understand what players need.
Since you're literally the coolest person @ CCP with concerns to the UI and it's development I have two questions for you:
1. With all the mining barge changes coming up, why don't miners have a nifty way to monitor how much people have mined in a fleet yet? (hint).
2. This is something you may or may not be able to answer. However, why doesn't CCP develop an API for players to hook into to customize the UI ourselves? It's been a very good thing in other mmos as their ui developers have a much broader development team since it uses it's community.
That is all, thank you for your work.

A step in the right direction, but as has been said...
until fitting managers can put drugs and rigs and optional modules in the hold then this really is only a step.
Especially rigs! You dont want to mass fit rigs to 50 ships only to be forced to move home a week after and have to repackage all those ships
Stick the rigs in the cargo hold and the player can install them.
EDIT:
Maybe when you click the 'FIT' button it asks you if you want to install the rigs on the ship or put them in the hold!.. thats a win win |

until fitting managers can put drugs and rigs and optional modules in the hold then this really is only a step.
Especially rigs! You dont want to mass fit rigs to 50 ships only to be forced to move home a week after and have to repackage all those ships

sorry buddy, I looked into this after getting a request for this on the first page in this thread but it isn't technically feasible for me to do in the time I had. I have tried the new fitting interface. It is very good about saving ammo in the cargo, but can we possible have rigs and alternative equipments being saved into cargo as well? When people fitting large amount of ships, they will not want to fit the rigs directly on the ship because in this way the fitting will be too expensive to have any changes. Usually what people do is putting the rigs on cargo and fitting equipments on only.
And for many instances, people would have some alternative equipments in cargo to switch for example between MWD and AB. That will be really convenient if we can just have every equipments/rigs/ammo in cargo being saved into fitting and loaded when apply the fitting. |
