I think it's annoying to have to load and sort crystals in space to see how much damage each of them has. This is true for weapon crystals and mining crystals as well. I like to make my sorting in station before going to war/mission/mine.
Please make it so that we can see the same info when the crystals are in cargohold as we see when they are loaded in space, either by hovering over them (better/faster option) or at least in the info tab (still a good option). If the crystals are loaded in space, I can see in the info window with great granularity what kind of damage the crystal has sustained, like "Damage 0.16375", not just "0.16" as I see when hovering.
As all other races see how much ammo have in a stack, why amarrians will not see how much of their crystals are gone? And from what I see, same apply for miners. |

Any item that can be damaged should show, in some fashion, how damaged they are even when not in use.

+1. Let's also add the ability to stack crystals. If crystal damage can be displayed as an average when weapons are grouped, surely this can also be the case when in the cargo hold. I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

No, it is not possible, because of the way the EVE Inventory works. Only packaged Items can be stacked, and only unpackaged items do have individual stats, like damage in this case. In stacks it is just stored as "25 units of item id 1507.
But on topic: There has to be a way to see it in the hangar. Maybe jus add mor columns to the normal detailed item list, with the possibility to save custom columsettings, like they did with filters. |

Just to clarify: you want guns to prefer more damaged ones (80%) and not fresher ones (5%). Because they do give you now the option to load an used one or a new one from the stack.

Fully supported and +1 and also the below from this thread (I'm not the OP) One stack for damaged crystals which is still open as well.
When talking of "repairing damaged crystals" be they Mining or Weapon Systems related:
Maximus Aerelius wrote:Actually, if you take OH damage into consideration:
You can repair modules in space using Nanite Repair Paste (And then you have to train skills to reduce NRP use = reduce cost = reduce demand and reduce the repair time along with a skill to reduce the OH damage taken when OH'ing) You can repair modules in station using Repair Services for a cost. You can fully repair an offlined and unusable module by paying the full market price in station using Repair Services to save having to travel to a "Trade Hub" to pick up new ones.
Why not have this ability for all Crystals if it applies to modules? Yes, yes I hear the "economics this, manufacturing that" but to counter that why do we have the ability to repair OH damaged modules? Why not just make them non-repairable and increase the market demand? The reason is because sometimes you just can't get to the damn market\you're stuck in a WH or somewhere you can't get out of and Nanite Repair Paste was invented for this reason so why not extend it to Crystals.
People are still going to buy them due to losses burning them out in combat etc etc so the impact to manufacturing\resource harvesting would be minimal I think.
Things to think about and by no means consider the above a flame comment or personal, it's only my opinion. Fast Character Switching "XP Stylee" Undocking - More Routes Out of Station Here's my tear jar > |_| < Fill 'er up! |

What I would like to see for sure is that used crystals that were used at the same time (and have the same damage) could be stacked so u don't mix them with fresh undamaged crystals. Also "fresh" crystals should not be displayed on ammo change window if there is still unused ammo of that type in cargo bay.
Whatever u do just make sure that u don't mix used crystals whit unused crystals (like when u select crystals the ones with most damage are automaticly selected or whaterver...) |

Only if they are loaded in weapons/mining lasers while you are in space. Then they show that info even when you dock. But if the alredy used crystals are in cargohold while you are in station, that info is no longer available. That's why I posted this proposal and by the support it has (and also the older locked and abandoned threads about this) I hope this gets implemented soon.

At which point T1 crystals become totally redundant, why use T1 when with just a little bit more initial isk (would be even less as the market plummets when they no longer get used up) and without additional skills you can get some pirate faction crystals for significantly increased dps. |
