I've recently became a pirate, and I'm having some trouble I would like you to help me with.
I'm flying blaster incursus and it went well so far, I killed 4 ships, 1 solo 3 in gang and I only lost one. However, no luck with ransoms and the loot is just not enough. I'm getting short on money. I'll lose my second incursus and I don't have money to get a single one.
I've been told to make a mission alt, but that would mean losing training time with my main. What's your advice to get money fast?
0.0 ratting? Missions with my pirate main?
Thank you in advance: And remember, do it dummy proof, I'm a newb ^^

How do you run out of money flying incursi? Kill one or two rats in 0.0 and you're set for life, lol.

With the incursi themselves?
Are they ABLE to rat in 0.0?
I'll be sincere... I've never ratted 0.0
Which ship should I take there?
Thanks

Well yeah, for buying more incursi.
But I want to fly things further than that, want to get some thorax or t2 frigs, what can I do to get such a big sum of money?

You need about 200 dps to do 0.0 ratting efficiently... Anything less makes you too vulnerable to some random guy entering system.
However,
If you can get 200 dps, pick a good serpentis 0.0 area (why serp? because a incursus does kin/therm) and try to find a solo 500k rat. Kill the frigates, and orbit/kill the bs...
Make sure you check the map for kills in the last hour/pods in the last hour, and check 24h if you want to. (dt is usually safe for most places...)

But wouldn't that give me a signature and thus making me a hypocrite?

Fly your incurses to 0.0 safely, and kill some rats for day, than pirate for a week, keep doing the same.

Most Assault frigs can tank the bs spawns pretty well, a wee bit lacking on the firepower, will only mean takes bit longer. not impossible.

I'd be surprised if an incursus can be very effective in 0.0 ratting without a complete t2 fit and 5's in relevant skills. Even then it would be a close call pretty often. At any rate the following are ways of making money in EVE:
1) Trading on the market - buy low sell high etc etc. Need to have some patience and market knowledge but you can read some great guides floating around out there and get at this right away with an alt that never needs a minute of training.
2) Missioning
3) Low Sec to 0.0 sec ratting
4) Mining - this requires a decent amount of non-pvp oriented training to make a large profit, its also extremely boring
5) Research Agents / Invention - this requires a great deal of training in non-pvp skills but once you get it setup will probably earn more money then any other
And thats about it. You will notice PvP is not listed as an income source. Thats because PvP is the reward for working through the income source. Some folks treat the earning of the income as the point of the game and that works for them. If you like pvp though your best off getting used to the idea of earning money on the side doing something else. The closest thing to pvp that earns money is low sec and zero sec ratting. After that its missioning with kill agents. The up side of ratting is that you can do it in almost anywhere. The downside is that in low sec and zero sec you are much more vulnerable to random gangs finding you. Missions can be done in low sec or high sec space and at level 4 their rewards are pretty excellent. Plus if you do it in high sec your safety is extremely high. But if you are very serious about pvp you won't be allowed in high sec very long. Plus you will quickly require larger ships for missioning then you would be willing to lose in pvp.
Hope that helps.

Incursus is not an assault ship. It's a basic tech 1 frigate.

I heard from a pirate that there are mission agents in low-sec and the rewards are generally greater than their high-sec peers. You'll need to find an agent reasonably far from systems known for pirate activity. Nevertheless, you might still need to deal with pirates, so I suggest accepting missions that are one level less than that which you're capable of running.

Get in a pirate corp, keep trying ransoms. A few good payouts will have you laughing.
Insure your ships, fit them cheaply.

It's easy to be profitable engaging in piracy with an Incursus. Take the time before jumping into a cruiser--you have plenty of PvP skills you can be working on, making your Incursus (and all future vessels) ever more formidable: gunnery skills, drone skills, engineering skills, navigation skills, frigate skills, electronics skills, etc. No need to wait until you have all these PvP skills up to 4 or 5 before buying your Thorax, but do make sure you can at least use T2 guns and drones reasonably well.
Piracy is not a steady income stream. You'll go for days of looting nothing but junk, and then one day you'll get millions of ISK in ransom money plus millions more in loot. In addition to looting the wrecks of your victims, scavenge from the wrecks left by pirates higher on the food chains. I used to loot T2 wrecks I'd occasionally come across left at some gate or planet; all it takes is a single cloaking device or a nice T2 shield module, and you're set with another whole stable of Incursuses.
A nice profession to go along with piracy is trading. By placing sell orders for your loot instead of selling to the highest buy order, you'll maximize your gain; and by placing buy orders for your ships and modules instead of buying from the lowest or most convenient sell order, you'll minimize your costs. When you have a little extra ISK, buy extra of the ships or modules you use for resale; then if you get in a tight spot you can always cancel some sell orders and fit yourself out a new ship (or simply buy from yourself at the cost of taxes and broker fees). When you're doing well in that regard as well, start dealing in the ships and modules for the next ship you're working on flying. Eventually you can begin dealing in high-capital, high-margin items for more profit than you're likely to see in a month of Incursus piracy.
Check out my blog, especially the articles The Economics of T1 Frigate Piracy and Serendipity, baby! And yeah, it's hard to get ransoms in T1 frigate piracy.

Then you should work on your writing skills so you can communicate clearer. Cause there is no way what you wrote could be understood in any way other than that you were refering to the Incursus as an Assault Ship.

0.3 or 0.4.
Single-spawn battlecruiser rats. Circle 'em at 1-2km with an afterburner. Sure it takes a while to kill it, but those Cyclone rats never got past my civilian shield boosted shield
I'm sure this is doable with a ship other than the rifter.
