1. Ship HP Increased - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I didn't read the whole thread, but I'll add some thoughts to the discussion nevertheless. My main point is that from a purely mathematical point of view, it completely disrupts the current balance when the percentage increase is not equal for al...

2. Resistance increasing vs. armor increasing modules - unbalanced? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Zatuko How do you calculate this "base resistance"? is it a combination of all the different resistances of armour? Just to confirm what has already been said in another post: I performed my calculations with three dif...

Edited by: Alcor on 10/09/2004 14:40:30 Quote: Increasing hit point seems the way to go imho, active hardeners prob add better resistance overall but cost cap. Combined with a armour repairer, blasters, and the odd squirt of the mwd, ca...

6. Resistance increasing vs. armor increasing modules - unbalanced? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
I assumed that only a single module is fitted, so there should be no stacking penalties, as nothing stacks ;). I computed the stacking of resistance mod with base resistance correctly, of that I'm pretty sure. You are right, it would be interesti...

10. Resistance increasing vs. armor increasing modules - unbalanced? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Thanks for the reply, I agree that a better way to increase total armor is usually via plating, but I was aiming for something else. If you have a low-slot left for armor tanking, are low on powergrid and have some CPU left, then you usually try ...

12. Resistance increasing vs. armor increasing modules - unbalanced? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: Alcor on 10/09/2004 12:07:31 I would like to make an objective comparison between two basic strategies when armor tanking: 1. Increasing resistance to all damage types 2. Increasing armor hit points Consider the following modules:...
