I use in my wolf 8mil out of 18mil with 5.4 being learning so 63% not counting learning 44% with learning in the mix. Disadvantage of wanting to be both a awesome hauler and a fighter. But only 69 skills, quite proud of managing that ;)

It doesn't raise resistance with 5% per lvl, it reduces damage you take by 5% per lvl. And if you think taking 15% less damage is not worth the bother... And ofcourse a battleship is stronger, it's between cruiser and battleship not a replacement...
