How about a sort of heatsink ("external Heatsink", to differentiate from the lowslot laser dmg mod) which has higher hp than normal modules, and has a bonus to reduce Heat dmg to highslot modules, nothing major, just as a bonus to any (suicidal) p...

outdmg absolution? 8turrets + 25% dmg bonus = 10 turret dmg 6 turrets + 25% ROF + 25% dmg = 10 turret dmg then the absolution has the launcher slot, (slightly) better fittings, extra low slot... and /slightly/ better resists? :P
