I was talking to a friend about the cheaper faction ships and we wondered if this will make people go to the militia of their preferred ship race to get faction variants, making gangs/fleets more "racial".

Why is VivoxVoiceService.exe loaded when I have EvE Voice disabled? it's a mere 4MB in ram but...I still wonder why can't it be unloaded when you disable the option. Every bit of optimization is good I would say.
