So GMs are completely unable or unwilling to go to the destination of your missing ISK, rip it out of the hacker's hands, and put it back in your wallet? Strikes me as GM's giving the thumbs up to any and all hackers.

I see this frequently too. Far as I can tell, it's just a graphical bug. Ship looks aligned, but actually isn't, and is skidding in a semi-circle to get going in the right direction.
