1. EVE under Linux w/ Wine - in Linux [original thread]
Okay, I installed XP to compare the speeds... I roughly get about half the FPS in Ubuntu than I do in XP. Frankly, with 90 fps vs 45 fps the difference is just in the numbers, I can play just as well but I'm interested in other people's results. ...

2. New PC Questions? - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Dual monitor setups are sweet... 1. If you can afford a GTX, grab that. Though at the moment I think it's way overpowered for what Eve needs, a 7950GT would do just fine. 2. Again, if you can afford quad core, get that. The two Eve clients would...

Edited by: Gwarnina on 24/05/2007 14:01:00 Originally by: Cherubina Stretch I would ditch Windoze in a heartbeat if I had a top shelf MMO that had a naitive Linux client. Cherubina, that is what I thought until I accidentally kill...

4. Buying New PC - in EVE Technology Lab [original thread]
Hiyya, My PC croaked on me a couple of days ago, and I tossed out my old setup. With an Athlon XP 2600+, 1GB RAM and a Geforce 5600, I got between 10 and 15 FPS in space, down to 2-3 fps on certain mission locations with clouds and lots of other...

5. EVE under Linux w/ Wine - in Linux [original thread]
Okay, just a quick question for now. On some screenshots I've seen Eve run on full screen, without the Ubuntu panel bars on the top and bottom of the screen. Was that full screen achieved on Cedega only, or is there some way of coaxing wine to do ...

9. Testing on Windows Vista - in Revelations Testing and Development [original thread]
Heh I remember when I checked dxdiag under Vista and saw it gave version 10... I gave Eve under Vista a pass, after realizing that even the official nVidia drivers can't get me above 3fps on my dual monitor setup. And I either play Eve in 3200x120...

11. virus in patch 2.14.26098-2.14.26811?? - in Revelations Testing and Development [original thread]
Yarrr! Is Avast! going to be the compulsory alliance virus scanner now? Rest assured that Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition did not consider this a trojan, so it's quite likely this warning is a false positive.
