if you have "status unknown", check your firewall's setting with attention so as to verify that all your access to eve are authorized. it may be a solution as it is for me.

same problem. trying to connect, checking status, and then status unknown. rebooted the computer, and still status unknown........... no explanation. the server seems to be ok for other players here in france....
