That happened to me once, here is the solution: Go to Esc options, find the option "Use ... IME". Enable it. Now you can hit alt+shift to swtich thru different keyboard setups. Find the one you like. You probably switched to another setup before...

I for my part would enjoy drones with AI - they are like that atm just with bad AI. Much more in line with state of technology in the eve-universe. The other option sounds fine too on the other hand: Drones that go on attacking only those targets...
