I was looking at ships for mining (Hulk, Covetor, etc) and they say that they can be fitted with strip miners. However the strip miners require 12,000 cpu to operate and none of those ships have that large of a cap. What am I missing here?

I have heard the term looting in regards to blowing up a nother persons ship in pvp. What type of items can you loot? All of their modules? Some of them? What about salvaging the wreck? Do you get better salvage items than with pve?

Well, here is another question. Why not forgo 1600 plate all together and use 2 large shield extenders instead? Uses less of the PG and still get the same "protection".
