Simple idea, make a bubble device like warp bubbles that instead of stopping warp they slow down anything in the sphere. T1's would say reduce speed by 25%, T2 by 40%? Insert whatever numbers are reasonable.

man that effect (I believe they are nearly the same) is torture on GPU's. Is there anything in the pipeline to reduce the hit they cause to the GPU? Zooming out is a "solution" but not really ideal.
