1. Big time miners and what they make. - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Been a very long time since I mined but I used to use 4x Hulks, 1x Rorqual and 1 scout/hauler at the pinnacle of my insanity. I think with the boosting I was getting i think around 2700m3 per minute per Hulk. That was when Bistot and Crokite were ...

2. Sign if you want Orca Compression - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Without compression it is a glorified hauler and I think the vast majority of people that will use it in its current form won't be using it as a mining command ship, will just use it to move stuff around.

3. Need a new Miner Ship - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Pity you are not Gallente because the Vexor is the ultimate non-miner mining ship. Vexor plus 5x T2 mining drones is very good mining even if you are not packing any serious mining hardware.

4. How much do you miners make per hour? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Mining is profitable if you mine with multiple accounts, otherwise ratting or mission running is more profitable.

Originally by: Lord Fitz Edited by: Lord Fitz on 30/09/2008 12:38:31 If they give miners ship that mines say 100% more solo, people will mine 100% more, the price of ore will drop to 50% of the current value, break the economy and mine...

8. How do astroid belts work? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Veldspar, Scordite, Pyroxeres and Plagioclase are common ore and respawn every DT. I know this because I have stripped entire systems day after day and all those ores came back after DT. Of that i am 100% positive. Omber, Kernite, Jaspet, Hemorph...

9. Lowsec Mining Ops - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Get people skilled up to at least Gallente Battleship 4 and get drone skills up, helps for mining and also for defense. Mine low-sec with Dominix battleships. If you have 15 - 20 people in Dominix battleships and you recall mining drones when host...

10. it's risky to place a POS in high sec? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Originally by: Mystic Pete If you want to work out how risky it is, it's quite simple. The cost / value of the POS including all labs and anything contained within is at risk. That is what you are risking when you anchor and sustain a POS ...

The only thing the player does is take over target selection and firing so the rest is determined by the Tower, the weapon and the ammo.

Originally by: Kiotsu Adler I'm a noob to PoSes but was thinking to set up a pos on low for research. I found that attacking a pos randomlly was a bit pointlesss only if not to annoy the pos owner really; the 'reinforced' mechanics do work...
