Why on earth would a pirate use this instead of just opening a convo and demanding money? Sure, the ransomee might want it, but the pirate is going to be just as happy to destroy your ship.

How about every time such an order fails, the order is canceled and the trader loses a rank of margin trading. Basically, every time this happens, the market maker trusts you less.

I like the idea, but it seems way too complicated. Just have a few slots for the larger ships for specialized crew. Eg, "Drone Repair Team" or "Warp Drive Maintenance crew" or that would give fairly small bonuses.
