Yeah i understand all that. What i don't understand is that i can be disconnected from the server, log back in, and my drones are still connected "in distant space", and i can continue to use them... but then 5 minutes later, i can be disconnected...

It isn't just AA thats different, they have some pretty funky colour/contrast/gamma settings which try as i may, i simply can't replicate... :( They have a load of other tricks up their sleeve - the depth of field effect being the most noticable...

Your gpu will be your bottleneck... i have a dual core e5200 with 2gb ram, and a 1gb 9500gt and get around 30fps at 1440x900 with bloom and HDR. CPU and RAM aren't too important anymore for a single client... mine rarely gets about 60% use on one ...

thats exactly the reply i got from ccp about the torp range - when the torps leave your ship they aren't doing max velocity, you lose a couple of km in accelleration.
