I started to do missions lately to get me some isk, coz i tend to run dry, but this is stupid, ccp needs to do something, missions are waaaay to tough to do, i mean is there at least some1 that can do a level 4 alone? I warped to the mission and got almost simultaniously scrambled, webbed and ecm'ed! I guess i don't have to tell you how awfull did my ship die and how i couldn't do anything about it :'(.This is outrageous, CCP wants every1 to go to 0.0 or what? Give ppl means to make isks in empire too, not only in 0.0! I wanted to make some isk and instead of doing that i lost everything i had...to rats! Missions should be easier than pvp, not the other way around :(.

Most people do level 4 missions while theyre AFK. Its safe to assume your ship is either setup wrong or you just lack the skills. ---------------------------

This is proof that the title, if not the OP, is correct. Missions are in fact far too easy and boring, and are mostly run either semi-afk, or by RMT farmers in sweat shops.

If you really dont know what your doing, read the eve survival guide, Follow a corp mate through a few missions to learn, listen and read on setting up your ship, and if that all fails stick to level 3's.
If one wants, can be doing level 4's solo within weeks of character creation. It doesn't take great skills nor great experience. A bit of read/listen, bit of experience your soloing your own level 4's.
Even level 4's have few ships that warp scramble you. Typically players doing level 4's have drones to take out the few scramblers. If you try to kill close orbiting frigates with large guns your going to miss. Learn from it and move on. If you have lost everything, it still doesn't take long to build up isk. eg I had a faction fitted Apoc Navy costing over 1 bil which I lost and was short by over 900 mil to replace, yet within about 2 weeks I had earned enough to replace it. Isk is easy to come by if you just look for it.
If your doing lvl 3's in say a battlecruiser you would have to be a complete idiot to sell everything and buy a battleship. Stick to the safer route and save enough for your next ship without selling the old. If it all goes bad, you just take a step back to the old ship to recover.
Even 'lost everything' you can take a pod into an empty dock and you get a free starter ship. You can then do a few rats/ lvl 1 missions with this and buy yourself a better ship, not long and you can do lvl 2's then 3's. To lose everything takes complete stuppidity. If you were doing level 4's (well trying to?) you can go find a nice hi-sec courier agent, get an industrial and ship a bit of freight for a few hours, pays quite okay, and is much quicker isk than doing level 1's, 2's, 3's. Typically an industrial is cheaper fitted than an unfitted cruiser.

Obvious troll is obvious. Now that's because of bastards like you ppl lose countless ships in missions, why you lieing that it is easy? I am a pvp guru and still died to those rats, what about new players that have no clue about firing their weapons? If you think it is so easy and you know exactly how to do it why don't u write a guide about missionrunning? Coz i see you're good at writing walls of text! Now get out of my thread and do something usefull instead of misinforming the comunity!

Becuase if you pay attention to the mission names, you can do a simple search in one of the many mission sites run by mission runners (my Favourite) and Avoid getting surprised by missions that will instantly web, scramble and ECM you (or worse, neutrilise cap).
Most mission runners pick up this habit during their lvl 3 missions when nasty surprises start hitting them, by the time your doing lvl 4 and 5 missions running into Surprises is only done by overconfident Pilots
Hope the linky helps avioding the problem again in the future.
Edit = Had to add a quote of your question, as you got trolled inbetween your question and my answer, and people might not realise what i was posting in response too.

Thank you for the good advise, at least one man is decent enough to give a good answer, every1 are just trolling :(. I never did lvl 3's, i used to salvage for a missionrunner and i got the standings for lvl 4 for free, without grinding, si i thought it's not a big deal, but the mission i got in was overwhelming :(. Will try to do as u say, maybe i can make some isk to fund my pvp. Thanks again.

no, seriously man, if you're finding missions hard, just stop playing. right now. they are the easiest thing ever. skills and fitting. you're a 9m sp pilot... im only 7.5 and L4's are a cakewalk in a harbinger, let alone a BS, or the zealot i'm about to step into ... how can you play eve for so many months and not have a single clue... i'm talking to people who've been paying under a week and understand more about the game than you
and i've been reading your other thread too... man.. you really do suck at pvp... come visit neesher some time and i'll show you, really, i'll only even take you to hull to show you how **** your setups are.
ED: guys i dont think he's trolling, i think he's genuinely this r*tarded. there are no troll-hallmarks, just the signs of a total noob.
... by the way, just thought you'd all like to know, i just lost the game

My oppinion, if you can't handle the easy level 4's your sure not up to pvp. PvP is against people. People are much tougher opponents than level 4's as the npc's are so predictable.
If you have been doing pvp it will only be ganking pvp. So the gankers call it pvp for matters of their own egos? I dont class ganking as PvP, never have and never will.
What skills are needed to gank shuttles, small frigates, industrials?
My advice. Do some missions like those lvl 3's you have never done. Your just not up to handling the level 4's yet - something I was doing within weeks of starting to play this game. Your not listening much to advice and yet much good advice has been given.
1st rule of PvP/combat is fly what you can afford to lose. Thats the first rule but you haven't even learned that. Even mission runners know this 1st rule of PvP! The 1 bil faction fitted ship I lost - I shot a can flipper and then got ganked myself. But then I still knew the rule, and was flying what I could afford to lose. If you had been doing pvp then you would be used to being jammed/scrammed/ecm'd, losing ships etc - again suggests to me (and probably everyone else reading this) that all the noise about PvP experience is empty claims.
2nd rule of PvP/combat is know your enemy. If you know your enemy you can prepare to your advantage. Hence the importance of scouts/scouting the enemy. The eve survival (and others) guide gives information about mission enemies. If you are struggling with level 4's and 3's (yes level 3's also have jamm/scram/ecm, so if you couldn't handle that lvl 4 mission, probably would have died the same to the lvl 3 variant), read some guides. Trying a lvl 4 without even trying a level 3, without taking a friend first, without reading a guide, without getting advice? I've seen players which I consider 'complete idiots' doing smarter things than that! No experience PvP'r goes into combat blind when they can avoid it as that will cost you ships. First thing you did was waltz into a lvl 4 mission blind without knowing about npc scram/jam/ecm or even how to 'mission' and claim shock/horror?
Ship is lost, get over it, move on. Is what I did after my small mistake of shooting a can-flipper. My char with 4 month experience at the time vs over 30+ month experienced opposition. I almost killed the inty in mission setup (it was down to hull when it warped out and the battleship warped in). I was even holding my own doing good damage to the 30 month char setup for PvP (mission setup for me), till I run out of cap (had got the dom down to about 20% armor). No cap (nos/neut), no defense and one dead mission ship. Still was over 100,000 damage done to kill my ship so they didn't find it a walk over. I expect I've just described more PvP experience than you have ever had. And a few month old mission ship vs years old pvp ship is no contest. Everyone reading would expect the pvp ship to win over a mission ship, which it did. Everyone would expect 30+ month vs 4 month experince to win, which it did. No surprise.
Someone trying a lvl 4 blind with no mission/pvp experience? Ship loss is no surprise. Not knowing those two rules of pvp/combat is no PvP experience.

to address your next point of major failure: visit battleclinic. properly fit out your ship, properly prioritize targets, dont hit triggers.. jeez, how much more difficult do you want to make this for yourself??
expect up to 1000dps or so incoming for the more dps heavy missions. basically.

A smartbomb in an Angel Extravaganza ? And you started shooting the frigates ?
Oh my.
EPIC FAIL.
Smartbombs are bad because they'll pop the triggers along everything else, and 2 or 3 waves will come en masse, while a bit of 'spawn management' will trigger those waves one by one ...
Shooting frigates with BS-sized guns is totally futile, unles you're 100+ kms away and the come at you with MWD burning and in a straigth line ... did you see that each BS has a 75m¦ dronebay at the minimum ? That's enough for 5 Lights (for Frigates) and 5 Mediums (for Cruisers) that you Big Bad Guns won't touch ...
Really, those are basic mistakes ... I think you should go "back to school", and re-start your missioning career with level 1 missions to learn the tricks of the trade.
Or, you could be a nasty troll under a smelly bridge, and I just fed you some more ... <~ sig starts here

AE is one of the most profitable missions that you can do while browsing the market, looking at the skill timer, reading a book or watching paint dry. After reading your other "EPIC" posts /*caugh*/ trolls I can think of only one solution: warning/temporary ban/permanent ban forum tickets. Have a nice day and enjoy your troll posts while they last (people will just start to ignore your posts soon, so there will be no fun for you ).

You got Concorded. AE is an absolute piece of **** mission. I run it solo in a BC just for a giggle. What i suspect happened is you set off the smart bomb and hit the beacon/acceleration gate (neither of which concord let you shoot) and concord came and handed you your ass on a silver platter.

What dps do those rats have? i got jammed, neuted and almost instapopped, this didn't happen to me even in pvp!!! This game is ****ed up i think i will wuit right now .
Ok I'm not a cruel carebear at heart but i ****ing LOL'd so hard i nearly died of a coughing fit with this one.
Ok, now this needs explanation, what means concorded?

I suspect that you smartbombed an acceleration gate and got owned by CONCORD. Would you be so kind and post the killmail?
Concorded = you did something illegal (like smartbombing an acc gate) and CONCORD showed up and killed you
So please post the killmail that will clear everything up.

In systems of .5 security and above, if you attack another player who is neither a pirate (security status of -5.0 or lower) nor a member of a corporation with which you are at war, it's an illegal act. CONCORD is the galactic police force, and a small fleet of them show up and blow you to tiny bits (in Thy mercy). Certain mission structures are treated the same way by the game, and if you shoot an acceleration gate or a beacon, you'll get blown up by the police. That's part of the drawback of smartbombs; they hit everything within the radius. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Seeing as how he's almost exclusively received lossmails, it's kind of understandable if the doesn't know… ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I was gonna give you advice but then you bit of the head of the first guy trying to help you. You sir, are an idiot. Lvl 4¦s are easier than scratching ones bum and still you cant figure it out.
And you say that you tried to activate a smartbomb to kill the frigs and then got instapopped? Thats called Concord. Not gonna tell you what you did wrong. Go back to WoW or bf2. Moron

So Dlightfull wrote about missions:
Originally by: Dlightfull ... this is stupid, ccp needs to do something,
We all totaly agree. Missions are boring to hell and gives no real PvE challenge nor good rewards. Increased toughness of level 5 does not count in, since they do not exits in high sec.
Originally by: Dlightfull missions are waaaay to tough to do, i mean is there at least some1 that can do a level 4 alone?
And here allow us to disagree. :-) Level 4 solo can be done in a lot of different ways. Just for sample you can use Dominix, Abaddon, Tempest and of course Raven :-))) Or you can pick more exotic apporoach and do L4 in an HAC, or assault ship, command ship.

ROFL ...
if that isnt a fake that guy really lost ist ;) havent so much fun in a LONNNG Time.
Well maybe that is about the gens ( Amarr tend to be a little bit to "selfconfidence".
But those sentence like
.. im a pvp pro ... ... what is concord ... ... got the lvl4 for free ...
tend to show everone that he is indeed "special" ... riding the "short" bus ;)
Hey EVE is for the people you have a understanding in "question" and "answer" , they tend to have that skill on 4 (/ hint it a level 1 skill , sometimes helpful in RL )
Go on ... I will have a long night and need something to cheer me up

Originally by: Kery Nysell A smartbomb in an Angel Extravaganza ?
Triggers in AE are some of the BS, not frigs :)

I am eagerly awaiting the thread announcing that this troll has received a forums ban for six month on their account. And would be equally amused when they started using a second account to continue trolling. $30/mo or 600mil/mo to post meaningless dribble on a forum. Epic fail. _______________________________________________

Yes ... and they're triggering as soon as they take damage, not when they're destroyed ... a smartbomb in there is the very best way of starting several waves of reinforcement at once.
But, we're still feeding the troll here, so I'll keep my infos on triggers for another, serious, thread. <~ sig starts here
