Simple question(s),
If ive got a hauler and ive got a ship in the cargo, can i jetison the ship and get an alt to jump inside?
Or does it come out in a can?
Is there anyway for me to get inside it while undocked?
Is that how -10 sec players gank people in high sec by jumping in with their pods and using a freighter etc to get the ships into high sec with getting concorded?
Thanks in advance!!

If you jetison the ship it will be in a can, yes.
To board a ship in space, you first need someone to pilot it out into space and then eject. Once they eject you can then enter the ship to control it yourself.

Edited by: el caido on 16/02/2009 22:04:54 Concerning having a packaged ship in an industrial (or T2 variant), jettison will deploy the ship - not eject it into a can - last I checked. So you could theoretically hop into it, but without any fittings.
With an Orca (or similar ship with a maintenance bay), you can hop into a fully-fit vessel and go yarring. This is the tactic currently employed by highsec pirates.

To achieve what you want to do requires a "Ship Maintenance Bay" which allows you to carry fully assembled and fitted ships. It also allows you to put a limited variety of items into the hold (limited to "charges" which includes ammo, scripts, probes, etc.) and drones into the drone bay.
Ship Maintenance Bays come in a few ships, the Orca being the only one that can travel into high-sec. The other ships that have such a bay are Carriers, Motherships, Titans and Rorquals (I don't think I missed any, although Rorquals are still restricted to industrial/mining ships in their bays, afaik).
Ship maintenance bays can also be deployed in POSes - it's an optional POS module, so if you have a POS in the system, you can change ships out in the ship maintenance bay there (provided the POS has the module deployed and online). ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back?
