obviously the servers needs to know. i just mean so that 56k users dont have get overlagged by it all.

all that is being send is the location, and when it shoots and hits.
the graphics aren't sent over the internet.
lag is caused when the line in your house cant cope with the data it is being given.
the lag produced by drones is no internet related, or server related lag. its purely your PC which cant draw/calculate all those pesky little polygons.
an option to turn drones in round shapes or squares would be nice though. should help out your PC to cope with the amount of entities in space.
im not entirely sure, but logical reasoning made me draw these conclusions ;)
