When a POS is under attack, when does the energy bubble collapse? Is it when:
a) the POS shields are reduced to 0 b) when the POS is destroyed c) some other point (please elaborate)
Many thanks in advance. o7 |

The shield stays up for three months after the tower has been destroyed. |

Shield is not the same thing as force field.
Control towers are force field generators. As long as the control tower is online, the force field is active.
Just like ships, control towers have shield, armor, and structure. Offlined control towers still have shield, armor, and structure, but no force field. The force field cannot be targeted or damaged; only the control tower can be. |

In addition to what others have said, there are a few things worth noting as well as the force field going down when the tower explodes. Most importantly, the tower will go info reinforced mode when two conditions are met. Condition one is that at least an hours worth of strontium is in the tower, and condition two is that the tower has been reduced to 24% shield. after the tower comes out of reinforced, you are free to continue smashing the tower beneath your feet.
Just remember, when you set a pos up, check what it will aggress, as so things like a hostile fleet jumping in, incappung a module, and realizing the pos isn't shooting them doesn't happen. Second, never, ever, fit cruise missile or torpedo batteries to your pis for defense. The damage they cause is minimal, they can be outrun by bombers, and they go offline the instant your pos hits RF. |

A POS can be online and without a forcefield. I destroyed one like this (yes the owner was a bit clueless aha). But that's rare. |

It's "incapping" which is slang for "incapacitating." |

Yes, the POS bubble doesn't actually appear until you set the force field password after putting the tower online.
