Hi guys I just been playing for almost a week and today I finally discovered a tip which I can give to newer players to decrease their training time.
All skills are affected by the attributes, and under learning skill there are skills you can learn train to increase each attriuteb, and the skill books are relatively inexpensive too. What I do is to suggest all new players to at least train them to level 1 each.
When you are training for other skills to for example to lvl 4 for (Science) if it takes 1D14H or so with your current character. When look up the the (science) skill information and you will see the primary attribute related to that is Intelligence. So now go to your Learning skill that trains especially for intelligence, chances are you have only trained this to level 1. So now train this once more to a higher level2 which will take just over a hour. But I guarantee if you do this, you training time for Science to LVL4 will decrease by more than 1 hours. For me, it went from 1D14H down to 1D10H. And of course, if you got the LP or ISK buy implants for attributes also, they don't cost much either
But like I said, this only applies to beginners players. Don't be afraid to buy those cheap attribute books and train them.

Might I suggest 2 slightly better choices.
Skill Guide
Evemon
Those 2 will speed up your training far more than L1 of Analytical Mind.

No offence, but you have only been playing a week and now feel qualified to tell us this?
"Learning skills are good mmmkay"
Come on, any new player even hoping to compete has already either:
a) Figured this out themselves OR b) Have found their way to these forums and read the comprehensive guides written by experienced players that YOU should probably now go and read yourself mmmkay...

Wow Krell. Troll much? The OP never said he's an expert on the subject matter did he? He's simply trying to help other beginners out. . .
FTR: I appreciate that TSX01 is trying to help others in his situation.

It's hardly 'trolling' to point out the ignorance of the OP, however sincere his/her motives were. Maybe i was being a ***** and used a little more venom than was necessary, for which i apologise if I offended he OP - but eve is a harsh place (better to learn it now than later) -However, that doesn't detract from the fact the the OP has posted what amounts to 'stating the bloody obvious' in a forum with a sticky at the top linking to many well written and concise threads detailing the benifits of learning skills...

No offense, but just how many trial players read the comprehensive guides written by experienced players. As I stated clearly at my topic, this is a tip for brand new players. So if you already know this then keep it to yourself please.

I did...so there's one...and I'm probably not the only one...
Look I'm sure that your motives for posting are genuine, so I'm not gonna get embroiled in a flame war with you, so here:
I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to offend you - but please try and do a little research before offering advice...ok? ![Wink](/images/icon_wink.gif)

No offense, either. But: Usually those who stay&pay.
That's just the issue with guides: no matter how well designed, unless people are willing to put more effort into it than "LOL LETS PLAY SOME FREE ****" they wont look for or read guides. Including this very short one.

No need for guides. It's even told ingame, at the learning skills description. Same way when you click on Electronics show info it says you get +5% CPU
This thread is a failure since OP thought he had discovered America when everyone and his dog already knew about this.

...I really don't appreciate people trying to help out others when clearly they need to educate themselves first ...
Wow, how sad is this? Rather than comment on the substance of the OP's note, you take the spineless route and attack the person for making the attempt.
At what point did it cross your mind that on this thread - in this particular forum, someone might be interested to know how displeased you are over someone else making the attempt (albeit weak) to educate and improve the experience of others in EVE? It didn't because you decided to be selfish and troll this thread.

* sigh *
I am sure that if i went into the ships and modules forum and wrote a thread saying how that if you put MORE guns on a ship it will do more damage (or something equally obvious), how many people would laugh and slap me down...?
There is no helpfull comment to be made on the substance of the OP's thread, because there isn't any other than to point out that he/she should have explored this very forum a bit more thoroughly before imparting thier 'wisdom'.
Some people are just so damned sensitive, so i was an arse, I chose to be sarcastic and derogative, so what? I'm not the only person in this forum to have done so. How many times do I have to apologise? ![Confused](/images/icon_confused.gif)

This is why I think there should be a forum kinda like the...can't remember the name of the newbie help channel in-game. A forum that only allows posts by players with accounts less than...6 months old. That way new players can get understanding help from players that still remember what it's like to be new.
As opposed to getting crushed for daring to demand an audience with the wise and venerable Oz.
