How about a little warning eh?!?
I was mining with drones to protect and not paying attention I start shooting some guy, oops along come concord and spank me (fair enough my bad for not looking at who I was attacking) I fly the pod back to a station and think I know I'll just go and collect the stuff I've been mining, I get 2 seconds outside the station in my hauler and get ripped to pieces by the guns!
NO WARNING!!
How about a notice that tells someone how long they have left until their not flagged, I had no idea on how the flagging worked (as I've not attacked anyone till now) and I'm a Thorax and a Bestower down and to top it off I still don't know when I'll be able to leave the station!!
Sort it out! PLEASE

wait 15 minutes from the "aggression"(first attack or whatever) you can check your log to see what time it happened. then add 15 minutes, or 20 if you wanna play it safe :-P

What is really needed is the little red box to appear on your own screen for your own character.
At present there is no way to see if you are still tagged unless you have a friend close to you to look for the box.

Agreed,
some type of notice would be VERY helpful. I have actually waited 40 minutes to undock and the criminal flag was still there,
Lucky for me I decided to undock in a shuttle rather than any ship I was attached to first. HOWEVER, even after 40 minutes I was still flagged and that was being logged in continuously in the station.
I have heard of cases where people have had to wait til after downtime for the agression to clear.
Maybe a E-mail from concord after you are clear to undock would be helpful or as suggested a RED Warning text on the screen or Red light in the corner of the HUD. Something, Anything would help...

The only reason I knew about the 'new' criminal flagging was because I wanted to find out what happened and looked in here! It just seems a bit unfair that until I read it on here I didn't know anything about it, amazing as it seems some people don't read everything to do with this and just want to get on and actually play the game 
I'm not moaning to get anything back I'll take this loss as just one of those learning curve things but there really should be a warning.
As a friend of mine said it's about one of the only things you don't get warned for!

Happened twice to me last night. There I was happily plugging away at some pirates. Turned away for a few seconds and BAM, I was dead. At first I thought the got off a lucky shot.
Docked my pod back at a station, bought a replacement ship and equipment and undocked...BAM...dead again. This time I saw in the upper left corner of my screen some text about criminal aggression (in red).
I guess that CONCORD does not take kindly to you taking cargo from someone else's kill...who knew, i figured if the ship was there and no other characters name was associated with it...free game...time to re-evaluate my activities...
Hopefully this flag is off my toon now.

You think that's a funny story, check this out:
I remember one time, back in 2004, there was a thread on the forums about criminal flagging. A clear, unambiguous on-screen timer was added to EvE, and this topic became wholly irrelevant, so much so that necroing it three years later would be totally embarrassing.
