The crackling warp tunnel
The portal looking stuff when you use a Stargate.
And especially the lightning bubble when you're cloaked on the other end of the Stargate.
Very cool! I don't get what everyone else is whining about.

Warp tunnel is ugly, I'm sure they didn't intend it to look so incomplete and out of place.

Warp bubble and gate flash looked good. But the warp tunnel reminded that I smoked some bad stuff back in the day. No movement in warp tunnel = just bad.

I love everything except the new warp tunnel, sense of movement is totally lost.

As above, the warp tunned doesn't make it seem like you are moving. (The crackling energy only showing up at 1,000,000kps (OK, maybe 1au/s since the numbers realy fly after this point) and higher only shows that the computer says that you are going fast. (IOW 1/2c looks exactly like 3c)
Every other effect that i've seen so far, has been kina neet to see.

the warp has no sence of speed,dosnt look that good
the light bubble is alright but when you jump through te gate have you notaced your guns dont clock
and the new scanning prove that all of ccp are a bunch of 14 year old WOW playing braindead one eyed scottish idiots that could also be mistaken for clones of gordon brown

I hate the Sparklings in cloak and warping, I don't like the black circle before jumping, everything else is fine.

I agree with the OP.. the new effects are really cool, especially the really cool Cloak/Jumpgate effects. I also like the the new Turret effects alot aswell.

I haven't seen the turrets yet. But I have also noticed the shield hardeners and armor repairers. The whole rippling water and glimmering hull is spiffy.
And I also like the Cloak module, not just the Gate cloak. Old cloak was just a transparent ship. New cloak still shows a very discernable outline.
I'd assume you're still completely invisible to anyone else, but it's nice to know where you are without panning around and looking for yourself.
I will admit, the grid wide warp effect is annoying. But I hear its only a bug. It looks cool for YOU to warp. It's annoying to see it whenever ANYONE warps.

I like most of the new effects, except for the fact that laser crystals no longer change laser colors.
Nothing wrong with the actual effects as they look good. Just the colors are no longer changeable with different crystals.

Even tho the new warp effect needs some tweaking, I think it's better then the old one. An "Electrostatic cloud" is more what I have in mind about how a real warp will be. The "old" warp effect seemed like you were flying fast in air (pretty out of place for space) with the sonic boom included... ;)
I'm a bit disapointed that all weapons but missiles got some love. I'll be the angry kid in the sandbox, playing with his old toy and watching the other kids happy about their new ones.

New cloak looks like a cheap effect to me - the old one looks better dev team is obviously playing too much Nintendo.
Warp effect is just gaudy and loss of movement sense as noted plus everyone in the vicinity is aware you've initiated warp - oh the PvP crowd is going to love that.
Warpgate is ok just needs to be toned down a little because at normal view of you ship it just fills the screen like Uncle Fred who always thought he was high tech home video dissolves.
