Thoughts about what? Do lvl5 in cheap battleships. Only when you are accustomed with them, go with top dps and l33t maroders.

in the time it takes sitting there chewing thru masses of ships etc, warping in and out constantly (if you can) to avoid dying, and using a drake just to handle the damage but cant give enough of your own quick enough, isnt it just easier to do level 4's? surely you can fit in a few level 4 missions in the time it takes to do a level 5. is the reward for these missions really that high?
also arnt all level 5's in low sec? added risk of getting pirated.

That drone mission looks ridicolously easy for 68k LPs. Gonna try to get that one and take in a Navy Apoc...

Havent done that one, have soloed others. Get a command ship or something, passive tank, then get insurance. Works better. Wouldn't risk a CNR, personally.

How about 2 manning lvl 5:s?
I mostly fly minnies while a friend is caldari, and I think that Broadsword (Minnie heavy interdictor) is about the only t2 ship that gets shield resists from skills.
As in, my question, could broady enough tank (or avoid getting aggro) and duo the lvl 5:s with the nighthawk with ease?
Anyone compared broadsword's passive regen with nighthawks and the dps etc?

What you forgot to mention apart from the mission itself is the ppl waiting for solo lv5 heros to enter the system which they promptly probe down, warp to and gank

Sure, if you're dumb enough to run L5 missions in losec without protection. Most people I know of who run L5's do them in hisec (decline all losec missions until agent hands you one in hisec and farm it for a week).

... and there are some good constelations out their. I found a nice 6/7 high sec constelation to run level 5's from - ie very good chance of high sec missions.

Look at the screenie - drone mission (if that's the on in question) is in 0.5 space. No pirates, unless war...

I have a passive defense against Serpentis with 4101!! on the Vulture and 2154 on the Fleet Pest with Siege link and passive tanking implants on both. Might have some trouble keeping the link running, but even without the passive resist link they're crazy tanks and require no cap for anything else on the ship.
Any thoughts on this as a semi-solo setup? I know DPS is still a bit low with a combined dps of about 600.

Could be, I just worry about losing the logistics and subsequently the primary. Was looking for a super safe setup immune to incorrectly placed aggro.

Yes i've considered Scimitar but in that case i'd need passive tanked golem because scimitar doesn't have bonus to cap transfer. What i had in mind was acive tanked golem with fullgrade crystal set and obelisk behind feeding me mainly with cap and some shield boosting as well.
Thoughts, ideas?
How does the obelisk jettison anything to you let alone shield/armor or energy rep u?

I've done lvl 5's enough times to know that solo they aren't worth the time. Most of the time there is to much fire power against you and to much ECM or Neuts to keep you from fighting. However, what I found that works is 1 BS and 1 Logistics ship. Just tank the BS out enough to survive until the logistic ship arrives. I have a guardian and can keep the cap full, and armor at full repair even with a poorly tanked ship in a lvl 5.
