This. Scams don't need to change in any way or form, they're good for tear harvesting and a nice method of separating the ******s from the rest of us.

I stopped reading at that.
You seriously underestimate the stupidity of most people. Scams are a great way to make iskies.

I scammed 10x Scammers for over 200m in the last days.
they think that if they give low sums out someone will eventually be stupid enough to send 151832m to him.
obviously, people are growing smarter each day, and scammers are quite dumbning down. _______________________________________________ 10100110010100101010011010100101001100101110101 I will Conquer My Signature Somewhere in the future 10100110010100101010011010100101001100101110101 |

As far as the dumbing down of scams go, I think it's awesome - makes it easier to see through them, and by consequence quicker to do so = faster to find legit contracts
As far as the spamming goes, auto-gag anyone in public channels that gets x number of blocks - this would work wonders on isk-spammers aswell

I too am getting tired of all the "Lame" scamers. its like 95% of all the people in my block list are the lame sames, and the rest are people I hate or ISK sellers.
And I don't want to "ignore local", since there are some good buys on it. Matter of fact. I spend about 15 - 30 mins to see what people are selling, Most of the contracts/messages are "give me money and i'll tripple it" and the 1trit for 1 bill.
what i find funny is the "give me money" trick is so bad. its pathetic. if i want to see if they are real, i go into a station and trade with them. I show my money, and if its real they will show theirs. most of the time the window just sits there. ---

I think if you want to make money go play on wall street, if you can't cut it well then wall street will play on you.
Get rich or get out, sucks if you got scammed but if they start policing scams well then why not police pirate gankers (ever been ganked? it sucks too).

Scamming in public channels should be petitionable as SPAM, imo. It pretty much is, as 99% of "scammers" just spam that crap nonstop until they get a hit. Then it causes more flooding as some people try to warn others of their scamming, which then results in the scammer spamming more to cover up their warnings... and on and on and on.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

I don't like how mission runners farm missions. Maybe we should impose some bans on that behaviour too as it is not conducive to the way I want to play the game.
Stop being so selfish and learn to shut up about it.
